Lemmings asked for it though. The AAA hype. There was hardly any lemming who thought IGN would give the game less than 9. Lemmings saying the game would be an absolutely huge RPG taking 50 hours or more. Lemmings saying "you just haven't watched the preview videos...you have no clue what you're talking about". Lemmings still believing Molyneax after the Fable 1 debacle.

Same goes for Gears 2. I wouldnt be so hyped for that one either, buddy...

I'm hyped for Gears 2. But I've also said that I wouldn't be surprised if it scores 8.5. And I'm not having "blind" hype over it either. I realize Gears 2 is going to just be a minimal upgrade over Gears 1, and I'm fine with that. Fable fans however have been blindly hyping Fable 2 to be so much bigger and better than it apparently is. So much speculation about the game being really long...wrong. No way the game can score less than 9 on IGN...wrong. It is one thing to be excited for a game coming out, and another to blindly hype it and put it on some pedestal that doesn't exist. And lemmings have done that with Fable 2.

If Molyneux had addressed these issues, this could have been one of the greatest games ever made, let alone this generation.
