3 years later, MGS4 is STILL the best game i played this gen

and i played alot of games this gen, no game had me going "oh sh**" more than mgs4. i dont care what any haters say, MGS4 IS THE BEST GAME

I think Mario Galaxy 2 is the best game this gen ahead of Galaxy and Uncharted 2.

Well, I think we can agree to disagree then. Personally, I don't believe MGS 4 deserved its score. It's a great game overall but not as amazing as some reviewers made it out to be if you ask me. :)

Agree I think MGS4 + Demon's souls are the 2 games which I enjoyed the most this generation.

With all the references and throw backs you really have to be a long term fan to really appreciate it, if not then I wouldn't agree.

i recently started playing it over again on big boss hard. to say the least its quite retarded easy. and ya, to many cut scenes

Agreed. MGS4 is excellent. It's not for everyone... I can definitely see that.

But for those like you and I, it simply is the game that went above and beyond more than any other console game this generation... and there are a lot of us (including gamespot).

and them after i finished MGS4 i played Assassin's Creed 1 and i threw AC to the garbage. :lol:

actually, yes, Gears 2 did. In fact, MGS4 is quite possible the worst sleath game I've ever played, and actually the worst PS3 exclusive I've ever played. Uncharted 2, KZ3, etc... are all deserving of AA/AAA, but MGS4 just shows that Koijima is getting bored with MGS, and doesn't really care. Just like Bungie moved on from Halo, Koijima needs to move on from MGS.
