3-4 disc >>> Waiting on installing FF13 on my harddrive .

I wouldn't call the 360 clearly the winner because of that, but yea I prefer disc swaps over installations too. atleast in RPG's that is.

So your saying FF13 will be short ? because in Lost Odyssey i changed a disc in 15 hours for the first time and 12 hours for blue dragon on the first disc.

• I don't have to risk breaking my back or leg switching disc
• jump out a window
• Homework
• etc

When its done, I can shut my door and live in solitude

Actually no , coming this fall 360 owners will have the option of installing entire games on the 360 so therefore faster load times.

This has to be the biggest fanboy topic ever. Installation is ONE TIME. So as soon as its finished installing you wont have to do it ever again. Whereas youll still have to switch disc alots. again discs can also mean semi linear gameplay. in most FF's you were able to explore the world and your own leisure at some point.Ragashahs

now why would you want more that one disk, of the same game? i couldnt stand disk swapping during the ps1 days, so im extremely happy that the ps3 has cured that for me! it wasnt only a hassle bcuz of the disk swapping either. what made it more wack was having to make sure all your disk were in good shape, not misplacing any, and having fatter cases! installs PWNS multiple disk in soo many levelsFurbyballistik

This debate on whether multiple disc better or installs is pointless. If the game is great, I heck take both with it.

so how many times did you have to install on MGS4 .

You install it, which takes 8 minutes, then everytime you load a diffrent chapter, you need to go through a 1 or 2 minute install. Something that short should be treated as a long loading time. Its notl ike it takes up space on your PS3 or anything. 1 minute install before a chapter, and 2-5 second loading times durign the game, somtimes there arent any loading times between cutscenes and gameplay.

becuase SE actually talked about it during e3 and interviews.Also SE has not even mentioned installs yet on the ps3.

I'm not even going to get into this debate in a massive way...but

WHile disc swapping isn't even a big issue(how lazy are you people) there are 2 legit flaws(1 if your not in the U.S.)

1- the case for multiple discs suck. It is the discs on top of each other....and if its a 4th disc it comes in a side thing(LO) which is wack

2- If 1 disc gets scratched, the whole game for the most part is some what ruined(mild issue, but something to be considered)


However while we are on this disc swap thing(for the lazy people again)

MGS 4 had mandatory installs between acts that ranged between 1-3 minutes(exaggerated but you get the idea) and had loading..

That is basically longer than a disc swap.....

Im not changing subject im saying we couldeither install the game before hand or just swap disc , its good to have optionsya know.

2. One disc scratched or one of out four scratched, both are ruined. Most part you could say it a higher chance tho.
