Matcgmaking still broken, campaign glitching, in halo 2 I got black screen, audio works but no vid. Anyway 343 will fix this shit in coming weeks lmao game will be dead by then

Within 343 Industries and Xbox, I can assure you that resolving these issues is our #1 priority. We continue to partner with the Xbox platform team to analyze all data to make ongoing server-side adjustments to continually improve the matchmaking experience. We are also preparing additional content updates that will address existing campaign, UI, and other issues to improve the overall experience. With each update we will carefully analyze data to confirm that the improvements we’re seeing internally are also happening with fans at home.

Know that we’re trying to be as nimble as possible to put fixes in place. We are planning multiple server-side tweaks and game content updates over the coming weeks. Looking forward, I want to give you a high-level cadence of the latest updates we’re currently working on. Development and testing of our latest content update continues and we are on track for release later this week. We will update you on the status and patch notes of the content update once we have a better understanding of our release window. Only through making changes on both the “server side” (matchmaking and other server rulesets) and, via content updates (to the game itself), can we make the significant progress we’re working towards. And in the interest of expediency, we’re attacking the problem from both sides, non-stop.

Personally I have a somewhat easier time finding matches now but ever since the patch they're much more unstable. More lag, more dropped matches, more uneven matches, etc. Such a shame because the actual multiplayer still holds up remarkably well.

WTF should they have done after fucking up? Say nothing? Same with driveclub devs. I'm not saying these two or any other developers aren't to blame, but I shit sure have not been perfect in life and I was raised to have the integrity to own it and attempt amends. Hopefully Sony, MS and these developers will also.

Welp, I thought it'd be fixed in a few days at most (I foresaw MS putting a blank cheque's worth of money behind it to fix it). Looks like this was an incomplete game upon release that they hoped they could fix after it came out.

Theres fuking up and then theres this. Failo isa broken fuking mesd, only reason ms released it was to capatalise on holiday sales, no way in hell this passed any quality testing. Singleplayer glitches are pissing me off more in general, halo 2 checkpoint saves arnt working, ai seems brain dead and no vid

Its a shame what happened. This game should have been one of the greatest releases in recent history. Lots of people bought X1's just to experience this and they will be left with a bad taste in their mouth, instead of magical moments that would only help the X1 down the road. 343 will fix it but the damage is already done.

I'm concerned about the game population when it gets fixed. I'm sure many users have moved on by now considering it's been broken for two weeks.

Hey don't buy their games anymore, your problem is solved. As for a player telling a dev what real fucking up is, how many games have you coded? Its like the pathetic tackling on the last drive in the Cowboys Giants game last night. Just because I am a fan and played HS football doesn't make me legitimately qualified to chastise the professionals on the NY Giants defense. I want to, but its fucking cry baby, Monday morning coaching as if I have any real world experience doing their job at that level. But if it makes you feel good, rock on fella. For the record I have a squad of friends that have had very little problems in campaign and we have been enjoying online for over a week here on the East Coast, in particular NYC.

I have shit wifi in my residence hall. Its why I stopped playing Destiny and Titanfall, because it wont stay connected to an online match. So I haven't even tried to play MCC here in my room. At my buddy's, also in Brooklyn, we were able to get into matches pretty regularly. But he says you are right. Telling me tonight that the recent update made games unstable. I wont be able to play until wed night, so I'll see then I guess.

As a HUGE Halo fan since 2001, this is infuriating.

I just don't understand how they could have "internally tested" this game and still had this bad of performance in the real world.

Hopefully, there will be MULTIPLE real world Betas with Halo 5 to prevent even the possibility of this happening again.

I personally find that a reasonable excuse. It means they tested it and legitimately thought it was good on release. If they don't know what the **** is wrong then I find it more likely they didn't just push shit out the door because they didn't care like AssCreed Unity.

They should have had a beta or something. They had a half dozen or so teams working on each individual part, and then created a shell to connect them all for the online gaming. It's pretty impressive stuff.....if it was to have worked.

But I think the damage has all been done now. It'll get fixed, it'll be the 10/10 remastered collection is should have been, and nobody will care because by then they'll have all moved onto CoD or something.

Yeah it seems like the only thing they can take from this is really be over stringent with Halo 5 betas. I don't know how games are tested, or anything about coding, or making them. I refuse to believe they didn't test it. But obviously they fucked up somewhere. And it sucks. But as I have said before, I have fucked up and pissed off my share of people counting on me in life. I hit 42 today and well, I just cant sit here and get all negative Nancy about this. It makes me miserable and has no fucking effect on them fixing the game.

because people are having trouble even getting refunds, u have to be on phone for like an hour and get passed on to the supervisor for any chance to get a refund. if ms are making u jump through all these hoops for a refund no way in hell they give a game out. i bought the psyhical copy but cant return it because it was bundled, i would have to return the x1.

at max we will get a new map remake when there is hardly anyone still playing the game

Boogie2988 had a good update on this, he used his power to reach through back channels to give us an update, MS is working hard on it, probably going to get it fixed soon, and they'll be looking for ways to compensate gamers effected by this down the line...

Anyhow, I'm less interested in the MCC myself except maybe to play with friends who may later get an XBO, but not in the meantime. More looking forward to what I heard that a Gears Collection is coming. Hopefully that isn't as effected by bugs and server issues.

Meantime Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive continue to play just fine offline and online. Obviously 343 Studio didn't do enough testing on the game prior to launch. Unlike DriveClub, this is just a game code issue and not a network or firmware issues like Sony had. They literally had to update their firmware twice after released, because it was screwing up other games. I can't tell you how many times PSN has been down over the last month. I seriously lost count. It was down again for like 30 mins this weekend. Couldn't get to PS Store or PSPlus games. So both companies have screwed up in different ways this generation. Keep your trolling tears to a minimum.
