the Xbox 360 is currently failing in the land of Japan. the PS3 has already sold Double the 360 consoles sold. this is not good seeing how the fact that the killer App Blue Dragon is already out. This means Japanese publishers will make there games for PS3 in Japan maybe they may see a port to the american 360 if your lucky lemmings, Looks like Japan really hated the first Xbox and don't wanna buy another one or maybe there waiting for Halo 3 rofl yeah right.peacebringer

Life to date PS3 in first 5 months sold 870,000 units compared to 360's 130,000 units. In 5 years the 360 will contine to sell even slower where as the PS3 will get good japanese esque games and that will give the PS3 a 10 million unit advantage which negates the 360's one year headstart.mikeslemonade

there all japan companys. Dead Rising? made in japan Capcom is a Japense company. just cause the game looks so naturally american doesn;t mean it was made in america.

The funny thing about this thread is no one expected the 360 to do good in Japan, not even Microsoft. Even with Blue Dragon, Sakaguchi said they didn't expect more than 80k- 100k sales. and BD is now well over 200k. Progress is being made there but at a slow rate. The real news is the PS3 in Japan. Its selling, but not at the level it was anticipated, meanwhile the Wii is killing everything in its path.

You do not follow Japanese sales, I take it.  Here's a wake-up call: PS3 will be lucky to hit 2 million a year from now.  10 million is completely and utterly out of the question.

In Japan, they care about one thing - the DS.

Blue Dragon has sold more consoles in Japan and more copies than any other game - thats commendable.

That said, Japanese developers will still be publishing titles for the Xbox 360. As the number one console sold worldwide, they would be foolish not too. Some big name games coming for the Xbox 360 are japanese titles, like Eternal Sonata, Cry On, Lost Odyssey and Devil May Cry 4.

Well for a console that has been out for only 5 months and has doubled sales of the xbox 360 which was out a year longer, it looks worse for MS then sony and there arent even any big name titles out for the ps3 to sway the japanese consumers but look for that to change soon when big name titles come out.
