i was playing Gears 1 &2 again and couldnt help but notice that the trigger and the analog stick sucked compared to the Ps3. On games like Halo 3 its fine cause your not zooming in and just generally shooting, but on games like gears it seems off and flimsy.

The Ps3 on the other hand has a pressure sensor thing going and feels more responsive when shooting.

Just my thoughts, does anyone else feel the same?

Completely subjective. This is only a matter of preference.

On the Ps3 for instance, if i squeeze the trigger a little bit, i can control the shot burst, where as on the 360 you dont get the same feel. The analog on the ps3 seems to have more precision where as the 360 stick seems to be looser.

No not really, people think that becuz of Halo's popularity, but I think PS3 has more divers shooters, nothing on the 360 like MAG, Socom, R2 (8 player co-op and 30vs30), KZ2 (the way it feels, if you played KZ2 you know wat Im talking about)

Come on now would you use a controller against people using m/kb? I didn't say it was better but preferred by me.

Uh Oh.. Here they come.. off in the distance.. I can them singing.

"We are the PC Gamers fight.. fight... fight.., We will fight for truth and right!"

Oh Noes..!!!

ok but seriously, this is all subjective. I consider the 360 better simply because it's the platform I prefer. BUT I completely understand if someone chooses another platform.

Have to agree, i love the KZ2 control mechanism. But in saying that Halo 3 is great fun to play with mates, its a fun shooter where as Killzone 2, resistance, socom, MW2 are serious shooters (i.e., no jumping 10 feet in the air, and super sheilds etc etc)

It has the better controller for them. But I dont see why that would mean "better platform"

Ive grown to play them just fine on PS3.

I know that the 360 audience is shooter oriented, but again its Halo's popularity that makes people think that (cuz PS3 games arent mainstream or popular in the media)

The trigger on 360 is better, not as loose and slippery. Very precise too, you can control it as you want. I also find the analogues better, a bit stiffer actually, and they dimple in so your thumb doesn't slip. Personal preference I guess.

I agree with Salty. I do find that the 360 ergonomics, triggers, and stick seem better for this kinda game, maybe most games in general outside of fighting games. But like I said, ive grown to be able to paly any kind of game on PS3 will little trouble.

Seeing as how the 360 has a controller whose thumbsticks AREN'T place so close together that your thumbs rub against each other when you strafe right and aim left, I'd say the 360 is better.

I guess you didn't notice that although this was clearly a comparison between 360 and PS3 for shooters, it is now about PC superiority.

Were seeing nowadays alot of 360s exclsuvies either going away or that they seem to be leaning towards a few genres (that being shooters mostly) Even if it was only a console exclusive, 360 losing ME as a exclsuvie franchise actualy hit them pretty hard. Sure they still got the first one, but now its not considered a exclusive FRANCHISE. And whats going to happen now that Valve is allon good terms with SONY? I think Left 4 Dead is going to come over to PS3 eventualy as a result and probaly any future Valve game on consoles will probaly hit 360 and PS3.

Third Party Exclsuvies are becoming a dieing breed and SONY has done the smart, long termthing by making sure they have a stable, healthy roster of first party talent so that they can get through that. MS on the other hand has relied very heavily on third party and im not sure if that can work for next gen.

MS this gen is burning too many first party bridges and they are putting themselves in a position to get screwed over in the future when it comes to exclusives and first party.

I don't understand why MS won't make new exclusives because their making billions from XBL and DLC fees and they dont have to support extra systems like Sony does.

Ucharted 2 isn't a shooter but I still would go with PS3. (Personal preference of course but probably just because Resistance is my favorite game series of all time.)

Its a platformer AND a shooter :P

i was playing Gears 1 &2 again and couldnt help but notice that the trigger and the analog stick sucked compared to the Ps3. On games like Halo 3 its fine cause your not zooming in and just generally shooting, but on games like gears it seems off and flimsy.

The Ps3 on the other hand has a pressure sensor thing going and feels more responsive when shooting.

Just my thoughts, does anyone else feel the same?
