i've seen quite a few posts on this recently. The analog sticks and placement and design cant be beaten imo. I'm honestly on the fence getting a ps3 for this reason.

Breakfast is an important part of a nutritional balanced diet for people ready to yell and scream on Xbox Live!Mabye you should wash your hands after making sandwiches before going to play video games then.

I used to think the 360 gamepad was great... then I started using it a lot.
The analogue sticks are too thin and concave which makes it hard to hold it in one direction for extended periods of time. The face buttons are not pressure sensitive and are too round. The shoulder bumpers are hard to hit with the index fingers. And the d-pad was invented by the devil.
Sure, the thing fits into your hands but the Wavebird slaughters it. And hell, I prefer the Dualshock despite it causing severe hand cramps... at least it has a d-pad that is usable.
It's supirior indeed but at the same time I feel it's terribly overrated. Don't get me wrong it is my favorite controller this gen but I've prefered the DS3 for these games; GRID, Dirt, Prince of Persia (and I can't imagine playing these exlusives on the 360 controller Naruto:UNS, LBP). So if you're really not getting a TREY because of the controller I think you're silly because DS3 worked fine for any game I've played on it.

Yeah you nailed it all on the head right there. I really do not see how its superior apart from the triggers. The joysticks and the buttons above the triggers leave a lot to be desired in almost all genres apart from the FPS where the Joysticks are better? Or so you say although i fail to see how? I use a 360 Pad more than a PS3 pad currently and i really do not see how its so much more superior.
The face buttons are not pressure sensitive and are too round.foxhound_foxWhat's the use of pressure sensitive buttons these days? Only thing I think they would be useful in is racing games, and we now have triggers for that.
360 controller blows, maybe if it had a usable Dpad it would be different, It's a sad day when the DSlites dpad is better than the supposed "best" controller.
To each their own. My first sixaxis only holds a charge for about 3+ hours now. I can't replace the batteries in it. I have to buy a new controller. I get batts pretty cheap, their fine by me.360 controller is too heavey and clumsyand it takes batteries wtf? This is 2009 you should be able to charge it up like the DS3

It's the nature of rechargeable batts, they will die eventually. I'm glad Ican replace the batts in my 360 ones.360 controller is too heavey and clumsyand it takes batteries wtf? its not that bad + D-Pad is used for minor thingssikanderahmed
PS3 remote = small hands.
360 remote = medium to large hands.
When i use the sticks on my PS3 controller my thumbs always smash into each other. Then on top of it all I gotta stretch my fingers to reach the bumpers and hold them there. Instead of resting them on a trigger. There is many flaws with the PS3 controller. The only flaw 360 remote has is the D-pad.
I'm glad 360 has removable batteries. You can recharge wireless... And if your batteries can no longer hold a charge like my 2 1/2 year oldones can't do any more. You can easily replace them.

nah the sticks are fine for fighting games, maybe not good for 2D games but 360 controller D-Pad is good enough for those games

I agree with this guy. I have larger than average hands, and they actually cramp up after a 30-60 min session of KZ2 or Socom. I have not had problems with the batteries on the PS3 controller, but I have 2 of them. So, when one runs out, I just charge it and use the other one. I do prefer just throwing in another charged battery pack on the 360 controller though...too easy. Since I play a lot of first person shooter, I definitely prefer the 360 controller. It just fits my hands better and seems to be made for shooters.PS3 remote = small hands.

I like it, but wish the dpad were better. The dualshock has a much better dpad.i've seen quite a few posts on this recently. The analog sticks and placement and design cant be beaten imo. I'm honestly on the fence getting a ps3 for this reason.
