[QUOTE="Truth_Hurts_U"]I agree with this guy. I have larger than average hands, and they actually cramp up after a 30-60 min session of KZ2 or Socom. I have not had problems with the batteries on the PS3 controller, but I have 2 of them. So, when one runs out, I just charge it and use the other one. I do prefer just throwing in another charged battery pack on the 360 controller though...too easy. Since I play a lot of first person shooter, I definitely prefer the 360 controller. It just fits my hands better and seems to be made for shooters.PS3 remote = small hands.
360 remote = medium to large hands.
When i use the sticks on my PS3 controller my thumbs always smash into each other. Then on top of it all I gotta stretch my fingers to reach the bumpers and hold them there. Instead of resting them on a trigger. There is many flaws with the PS3 controller. The only flaw 360 remote has is the D-pad.
I'm glad 360 has removable batteries. You can recharge wireless... And if your batteries can no longer hold a charge like my 2 1/2 year oldones can't do any more. You can easily replace them.

thats the point, it is made for shooters. DualShock is an all rounder.
My hands cramp with the DS3 after about 30 min of playing..The thing could be made of carbon fiber, titanium and control the space shuttle would not change a thing....the ergo's are just horrible.. The 360 controller is better for a longer period.....I don't play fighters and the games I do play have very little interaction with the d-pad....by no means is it perfect...but of the two..... I prefer the 360 controller...
[QUOTE="sikanderahmed"]nah the sticks are fine for fighting games, maybe not good for 2D games but 360 controller D-Pad is good enough for those games

Try the new D Pad......its infintely better
i use rechargeable batteries for my game controller, cameras,TV remote, etc.works like a charm and i get 100's of uses.360 controller is too heavey and clumsyand it takes batteries wtf? This is 2009 you should be able to charge it up like the DS3

I don't know why some people think that built-in batteries are so great. At some point they will hold less and less of a charge and will need to be replaced. Rechargable AAs are a dime a dozen.mattbbpl
m who uses the d-pad anyways? its mainly used for item selections and for that its perfectly fine....this whole dpad hate is silly. I think the PS3's d-pad is TOO stiff, honestly.both controllers are like butter to me......the d-pad on 360 is horrible though:x

My family lives off rechargable AAs. We've always got a stock of charged ones laying around, so I never needed a play and charge kit.

Good enough.[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]The face buttons are not pressure sensitive and are too round.killab2oo5What's the use of pressure sensitive buttons these days? Only thing I think they would be useful in is racing games, and we now have triggers for that. i though the same thing whats the point of preasure sensitive face buttons? let alone that you have what half a milimeter between pushing it and full contact you have to have the lightest touch ever to make use of preasure sensitive face buttons the ds3 uses plastic rubber contacts just like the 360 controller preasure sensitive face buttons aren't used in most games cause its quite literally worthless.
Haven't we done this before? Its fairly agreed that the asymetrical analogue sticks of the 360 are better, and the d-pad on the dualshock kills the 360's. Other than that, its just what you're used to. Let it go, please. This argument has been sucked dry a long time ago.

In my opinion, pressure sensitive buttons over round ones. I'm talking about the middle controls, but either way, it isn't that big of a deal.
My sentiments almost exactly. However, to me, the absolute worst part is the bumpers. They feel cheap and can be hard to use with your index finger, especially LB when trying to support the controller. The DS3 does suck more for FPS, but I find it superior for all other genres. And really, for FPS, all controllers blow anyway.I used to think the 360 gamepad was great... then I started using it a lot.
The analogue sticks are too thin and concave which makes it hard to hold it in one direction for extended periods of time. The face buttons are not pressure sensitive and are too round. The shoulder bumpers are hard to hit with the index fingers. And the d-pad was invented by the devil.
Sure, the thing fits into your hands but the Wavebird slaughters it. And hell, I prefer the Dualshock despite it causing severe hand cramps... at least it has a d-pad that is usable.foxhound_fox

They do sell usb to mini cables in larger lengths so it's not like length is much of an issue either.
The DS3 vs. 360 pad debate is kinda humorous. The original Xbox's controller was not good, so Microsoft changed it by just making it more like the Dualshock
360 controller and dualshock 3 are both good for different games. For some reason i liked bioshock and call of duty 4 better on ps3, but then other shooters are better on 360. Most other games i prefer the dualshock 3 just because ive had a ps1 and ps2 and its justa nostalgic controller. but i agree that having to put new batteries on the 360 controller is bs.
Why dont you just wash your hands after eating or after touching dirty things before you play? If you touch your controller with your hands with oil of food, Im sure that any controller may feel like butter.
If there's one thing sony did right it was designing the dualshock controller, every controller today is basically based on it, xbox360's pad is except changed around alittle so wouldnt be called direct bite off lol, new wii controller is also dualshock bite off.hellsyeahaha
True, but the Dualshock and the original PS controller are basically a SNES controller with two prolongations for more comfort.
