[QUOTE="jessesalinas"][QUOTE="Slambo86"][QUOTE="DanteSuikoden"]

both controllers are like butter to me......the d-pad on 360 is horrible though:x

m who uses the d-pad anyways? its mainly used for item selections and for that its perfectly fine....this whole dpad hate is silly. I think the PS3's d-pad is TOO stiff, honestly.

i use the d-pad all the time for quick weapon selection, menus and so forth and yes the 360 d-pad is pretty lame i have to admit that.

I used the dpad continuously for Oblivion.

I prefer the dualshock 3 way more because I have small hands, and they get sweaty when all of my hand is in contact with the 360 controller.

I've been using the Playstation controller since the PS1 launch so it' at home for me at this point. The 360 doesn't feel right and the D-Pad is garbage.

Only thing that prevents perfection is the D-Pad.

I love the controller, but the D-pad is just awful. Side-Scrollers become a nightmare to play.

buy a ps3 with the shadow controller. same shape and stick resistant so you don't have to make people wash their hands before playing (rofl try eating a pizza and playing 360 at a friend's house)

On the 360 controller, the 360 analog sticks are diagonal from one another. It's a bit of a stretch, and somewhat uncomfortable. It also frequently disconnects from the console when played wirelessly. While the D-Pad feels right on the right of the analog, it's not as functionable as the PS3 D-Pad. I'm judging this from when I played Gears of War 1 on a 360. The controller didn't feel right to me. I also don't like the fact that the controllers run on AA batteries. These are kinda old, and seem to suck even more battery out than Lithium ion battery(the PS3 controller battery). If it's rechargeable, good, but I don't enjoy buying a charger or replacing AAs when they run out of juice. At least the batteries ARE replaceable, so if your controller has rechargeable AAs, and you manage to get something to charge it, you can just replace the batteries when they run out of charge. I prefer the DualShock SIXAXIS. Some motion control is interesting, the analog sticks are asymmetrical(a good fit), and the D-Pad works better, though I prefer the left analog stick for movement and D-Pad for other actions. The R2 and L2 controllers kinda hang on the edge, though, which I don't really like. I also like the PS Button to access the system interface. However, I don't like the fact that batteries are irreplaceable. That means when my controller runs lower and lower in charge, eventually, it won't charge anymore and will either have to play wired or buy a new controller. So far, though, this isn't a problem for me, and you can play the controller via USB wired when the battery is out of juice. NYrockinlegend

I have owned a 360 since 2007 and my controllers have NEVER disconnected while playing.

360 controller feels great with shooting games because it has the superior anolog sticks and triggers but the D-pad is horrible good thing you only need it for minor things. DS3 is awkward with shooting games but is better for fighting games and definately has the better D-pad. The ease of swapping dead batteries out for charged ones on the 360 beats having to plug in a dead controller every time.

It's pretty good, btw dpads are overrated for most games, so that puts the 360 controller above the ps3s for me at least.

Maybe it's like butter because it melts under even the slightest heat source...lol.

I personally like the DS3 better then the 360 controller. This debate will NEVER be won because it all comes down to personal preference.

Actually the xbox controller is a rip off of the dreamcast controller and the wii classic is pretty much an SNES controller to the t. I guess you weren't gaming in those days.

iv played both and i think xbox 360 joysticks are more comfortalble, the 360 ones sorta go in a lil bit so its more comfortable while the ps3 ones stick out plus i think the ps3 controller is a bit to small imo.

The face buttons are not pressure sensitive and are too round.

foxhound_fox

The 360 controller doesn't have pressure sensitive face buttons? Seriously?

i've seen quite a few posts on this recently. The analog sticks and placement and design cant be beaten imo. I'm honestly on the fence getting a ps3 for this reason.

I prefer the Dualshock 3 controller, its beast. I do however like the 360 controller, but I dont own one and therefore I am used to the dualshock 3.
