9.6>9.0??? How can this be??? Gears of war is a year old game and the new PC game cant beat it? I'll probably still get the PC version because I'm a fan of the series. New chapters added to this version don't fit quite so well with the old ones? Did they rush it out? What are your thoughts?
Try not to be naive. A year has passed, better games have been released, and standards have risen. The PC version is clearly better than the Xbox 360 one.

Do you have ANY idea about how things work? Gears is old. Games have come out and surpassed it. You can't look at the score based on the game/series alone. You have to look at the competition and all the games surrounding it. Ifgame A was great fun, then five years late, game B comes out, and scores less, does that make it a worse game? Not neccesarily. and that's where you fail, kind sir.
it's better on PC....there is the lagged 1 year factor coupled with the new scoring system (and maybe coupled with PC's "higher standards" although sometimes I question that).

higher pc standards are there, but 1 year factor is a big deal, with so many shooters which have come out and are going to come

GEARS is barely 1 year old, factor in development time for a game, thats nothing in the age of a game. Scores are what drives SW's..yes or no?

My point is, if the PC is so much better, why could EPIC take the time to make this game better? Sounds like they just rushed it out to me, which sucks. I'm still going to get it because I know I'll never see those extra maps on the 360.

Rushed it? How? The review states it's superior in every way. What more do you want? A full blown sequel? Listen, get the game, I think you're going to be pleasantly suprised at how finished and un-rushed it's going to be. Make some maps. Play some non-buggy online.
This is the definitive version of Gears of War. If you're looking to make a Gears of War related purchase and you have a PC that can handle it, this is very clearly the version to get.Jeff Gerstmann Video Review

The control's better, the graphics are better, and there's much more content. What were you expecting, Gears of War 2?
