Not to throw another log on the fire of 3DS hate that has been sweeping SW, but it appears that another problem with the 3DS is becoming more apparent: apparently the materials Nintendo used for the 3DS's D-pad and buttons aren't the greatest, which is causing some rather unsightly wear-and-tear for the people whouse the handheld frequently. I understand that a system isn't going to last forever, but if it's having this problem only a few months after release, it does not speak well for the future of the handheld.

The buttons at the bottom of the screen don't seem to be of particularly high quality either, and I suspect a lot of people will be complaining that they are wearing out too. I would be surprised if Nintendo did not address these quality issues eventually, but still it is another sign that the 3DS was rushed out the door before it was ready, and that Nintendo has been cutting a lot of corners to maximize profits on the hardware.
