3DS graphics comparison by (IGN)

This is IGN, a bit lol worthy but w/e. Don't forget these will be full 3D on the 3DS :P

Pretty good for 3DS, considering some of these screens are very old (and pre-alpha) and 3DS is not even out yet. I thought Nintendo would push their system more like in the past, we shall see.

Ridge Racer looks like ass though. IGN article here.

Very good graphics. Especially some of the 3DS pictures sizing up to the 360 games (Street Fighter).

OOT doesn't look like it is upgraded too much. Mario Kart looks amazing though.

they should have shown links face on the OoT screens,

the difference in the character models is huuge, aswell as on other details, like the grass.

Developers like capcom manged to pull off some great graphics,

while ridge racer looks lacking

They rly need to fix OOT up. Everything looks like it has a self illumination shader, and isnt being affected by any light sources. I mean it still looks nice, and very colorful, but the lighting is kinda ticking me off. Other than that most other games look rly nice with the exception of ridge racer.

so 3DS is as powerful as N64. i r disappoint fo sho

You know, those comments about 3DS having the ability to produce visuals near the 360 turned out to be true, apparently. Resident Evil on the 3DS is resemblant of the 360 version. I had a big "wow" in my mind looking at those screens. Mario Kart and Ridge Racer are probably the least impressive, but they still look good.

Resident Evil looks nice, but the RE5 screens are soo small so its impossbile to tell just how much of a difference there is.

That's really dumb that they shrink down the 360 screens to 3DS size. A 720p game has about 10x as many pixels.

I still don't see why. I learnt 3DS was more powerful than N64 but weaker than the 360... lol.

I like how bright Star Fox 64 looks. Other then that I only like how MGS and RE Look like.

That was the whole point of the comments, though. That at that size screen and resolution the technical specs shouldn't equate the visual fidelity.

I am honesty inpressed, I might actually carry the 3ds around everywhere I go for the games, and not just to look at porn in 3d.

The fact that RE:M looks even close to RE5 is amazing.

Can't wait for the 3DS, gonna pre-order it as soon as possible and be one of those weirdos who waits all night for it. I did it for the iPhone 4, I'll sure as hell do it for the 3DS. Just gotta decide... blue or black...

well the 3DS's screen isn't the size of your Computer screen, so it should be fine.

Trying to compare a handheld screen versus a 46 inch LCD is just ludicrous.. yet here we are, talking about how close 3DS graphics are to consoles.....

Comparison is by IGN. And people might not play RE5 in 720p, could be SD and on a small screen, whilst all 3DS owners will have the same screen size. So it's not exactly the same either way.

But it says a lot when people have to make a big deal about the RE5 comparison, even though 360 version looked better in both comparisons and no one stated otherwise.
