47% of Monster Hunter Fans in Japan say no to Wii.

Am I the only person who remembers reading this thread LAST YEAR????? People, its a year old 2008 thread, I'm confused as to why it was bumped.

Its good, not incredible like I hoped it'd be. The cutscene are nice, the ability to play as 24 FF characters is always a great nice thing and the multiplayer is amazing.

Here the bad part. The enviorments/stages are bland, story mode is a complete joke, its short and repetetive, and enemies are just recolored FF villian characters.

Its an ok game, nothing spectacular.

maybe i'm just pointing the obvious here but. why would you get a game that you don't have the system for it?

that'd be like if i bought Mario Galaxy... i don't have a Wii.

And people wonder why the JRPG genre is dying in America...it's because Japan still loves that horrible Monster Hunter series. I wouldn't buy it even if it was on the 360.

So, just from the poll, 800,000 Japanese Monster Hunter fans are going to buy the Wii version, eventually making it a million seller. This doesn't account for any new Monster Hunter fans the game with attract on the Wii. Not bad.

I own a Wii and love monster hunter, but yeah, I still think it would be better on the ps3 (I would buy one just for that game)

Sure, its not the worst decision ever (it looks amazing, and it has online), I'm still going to buy it if it ever comes over here, but I can understand the disappointment

How do you know that's only MH Fans that voted?

I mean look at how 30% of "fans" that actually have a wii say they aren't planning on getting MH3. doesn't seem like fans to me.

Granted I too think I'd prefer the portable version of the game, but c'mon. If you could have Monster Hunter with better visuals, and sound on a big screen why would you not buy it if you were a fan of the series? That doesn't sound right.

I dont really care what an online poll says, instead i'm worried because this game seems good, but from what i've read, i'm not to sure right now, not because of the game but the concept doesn't convince me much, actually i'm more hyped about Tales of Grace and we know less about that game.

and 100% will buy MH3 if they release it in the West

Btw, my fav console is the PS3 and I would be glad to have the game on any of the other 2 available systems(PC, 360), heck, I even said I'd get a 360 for it though I hate the 360 but it is still better than Wii, the Wii is just not my thing. I already know that it would support CC but wasn't 100% sure and now you confirmed it for me so thanks, being a fan doesn't mean I must know everything about a certain game but still I'd hate to have it on the Wii.

IT IS fantastic on the PSP because no one here can deny that the PSP is the most powerful gaming handheld device for this generation and the Wii is the weakest console, can you see why I would hate to play a MH game on a 40" TV with a Wii? Also I don't have any other Wii game on mind that interests me but if it were to be released on 360 I'd get other games like Fable2, Halo and Gears2.
