[QUOTE="NavigatorsGhost"][QUOTE="Phanrang"]Killer apps are games that are system sellers. Resistance is far from being a killer app. 360's killer apps are GoW and upcoming Halo 3. Wii's killer app was Legend of Zelda, that was the only reason so many people got it from the launch, it was a system seller. Upcoming killer apps for Wii are games like Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros Brawl.snyper1982

But Resistance is a system seller. The only game I own for the PS3, which I got on launch day, is Resistance. Why did I buy a PS3 at launch? To play Resistance. Look at the attach rate for Resistance compared to total PS3 sales.

I bought the PS3 for MGS and FF, and as a HD movie player. The only reason RFOM has such a high attachment rate, is due to it being the only good game. I bought it because there were literally no other good games.

Why would you buy a system at launch then? If you bought it to play games that aren't going to be out for a year or two until after the launch, that doesn't make sense. Launch consoles usually have the highest rate of problems because they are new tech. So you are subjecting yourself to the possibility of having a defective unit and bought a system that will collect dust for a year or so.Â
