i'm not quite ready to jump on the wiiu hate bandwagon yet, i need to play a few games on it first before slagging it.
Only number five is a big deal for me; an internal harddrive should be mandatory. Number one seems more like a minor annoyance. Two through four won't impact/bother me.
1. I don't care. I only use rechargable AAs now anyway
2. Another don't care. I'm 19.
3. Gamecube controller sucked and Wavebird was only good cause it was the best wireless last gen. CC Pro is much, much better. If it's that big of a deal, they have GC-style classic controllers.
4. Again, doesn't bother me. It's not gonna leave my room.
5. I'd rather have external. That way I can take my stuff with me.
it was announced[QUOTE="eboyishere"]
not even considering to buy a wii u until smash bros is annonuced
ZIVX
i mean like a date...i thought they said they dont even have the team ready...i remember the thread
The only one that wasn't idiotic on that list was five.
What can I expect though? It's VGcharts after all.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Not only that but any of those things could change from now until launch... we've heard like nothing solid on anything about it.
Its not only about kids. If I get one, when I invite friends over, they will be stuck with an awful controller. Really, designing a new systems controller and to have it only allow 1 per console is the worst design Ive ever heard. That was a horrible article. Maybe parents should teach there kids sharing before they get them a console anyways.

You do know they still aren't set with how many tablet controllers they're going to allow right?
HDD's are so cheap, they really should be built into many of these systems anyway. The 360 kinect bundle with a 4GB flash drive is 300 dollars, whereas a 360 kinect bundle with a 250 gb hard drive is 400 dollars. That's pretty ridiculous. Basically, you just paid MS 100 extra dollars for 250 GB's of space, something I can easily purchase on an external or internal hard drive for around 25 dollars. There really is no reason as to why these companies should charge these exorbitant prices anymore, but people buy it unfortunately. The non-rechargeable controller is pretty stupid too...DragonfireXZ95
Pretty bad when I can buy an external USB 3.0 1TBHDD for 80-100 bucks, or a 2TB external powered HDD for the same price. That's why I'm happy with this route Nintendo is taking.
the more i hear about this system, the more i think its a piece of garbage.
go back to the n64 days ninty, you have been sucking for the past 2

You do know this ruins split screen gaming yes? ALso, the system supports 2 max, which still isnt the required 4.not sure if serious. A hard drive wouldnt cost them much at all.....People complain about it not having a hard drive, but then turn around and complain about the high cost of consoles, that's very hypocritical. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

The last report was they aren't sure how many it'll support. We know it can support four, the AMD press-release about the GPU listed it in it's specs.
I'm hoping they decide for 4, because I want these for split-screen gaming. I mostly play online though since all my friends now have PCs now, so it's not that big of a "want" for me.
[QUOTE="Bigboi500"]not sure if serious. A hard drive wouldnt cost them much at all.....Are you kidding? The way things are going, it would need a 500GB to a 1TB hard drive and would probably raise the cost by around $100 or more. That much extra money could be a deal-breaker for a lot of people.People complain about it not having a hard drive, but then turn around and complain about the high cost of consoles, that's very hypocritical. Hell, don't even include a HD. But leave a spot open so the consumer can buy their own and put it in the console. Everyone happy.
AA batteries aren't that bad, I'm 18, and I don't remember nintendo saying it wouldn't have a hardrive.

Why put it in the console? Why not just use an external so you can take everything with you?

Is that how they are doing it with the Wii U?Well, if the Wii U will be using flash memory I hope it has at least 20gb.
It'd be great if it supported external hardrives.

That's great news! :)
What a pathetic list.
All of those are pretty much non-issues, except for the hard drive thing. They were standard on the xbox in 2001, yet somehow they still aren't going to be standard in all consoles over 10 years later
Hate all those respawning enemies in farcry2? This is reason why they exist.

It has 8GB internal flash memory (Same as the 360...slim,) SDHC slots (Something the 360 never had on either of its 3 revisions,) and external HDD support.
This is FAR better this way. Now I don't have to pay 100 extra bucks only to get stupidly small HDDs. Now, I get to use a 1TB USB 3.0 external for that same price which is much faster.

Where is the original article that says all this? Not that I don't believe you :P I'd just like to read it.
The 360 slim has 4gb of flash memory though.
.... Three of those five reasons basically amount to "There is only one Wii U controller and that sucks."
