That's not really ture, this thread has 16 pages made up of both PS3/Xbox 360 fanboys arguing, and everyone in between going "What?". Amazing that this has lasted as long as it has, seeing as the original post just seems like a joke really. Some of these "points" seem to have just been every single possible thing you could say agaisnt the PS3, even if they are so badly flawed you could poke more holes in them than swiss cheese. Mabye it's a new tactic, make so much fail that no one can keep up and then claim ownage. That might work... if it really mattered.

Because they didn't have the oppurtunity - indeed, Ubisoft BEGGED Sony to make Assassin's Creed exclusive (for a while at least) but Sony denied them, so Microsoft showed up and made sure it would arrive on the Xbox 360. Rockstar went to Sony HOPING to continue the GTA 6-12 month exclusivity deal with Sony (which would've made Sony number 1 easily) but Sony denied them... so guess who came? And they also got exclusive DLC.

Sony probably told Ubisoft and Rockstar "What, you think the PS3 is a gaming machine? Maybe if you make Blu-ray movies you can make them exclusive!"

Actually you're wrong, turns out it was a conspiracy, who would have thought? Basically Ubisoft were orignally going to make AC exclusive, but then Microsft appaered to them through the guise of an old woman, and informed them that Sony did not really love them, and that they should question their loyalty. So they did, and as it turned out Sony had in fact been securing other exclsuives behind Ubisofts back. Naturally, Ubisoft were heartbroken, and so as a last minute turn around decided to make AC multiplatform. More proof that M$ are evil!

Nonsense aside, I don't see how It's possible for a company to actually ask to make a game exclusive on a console. The company would expect to be payed by the console developer. As such a request may have been denied because of a lack of intrest in paying large sums of money just to maintain 1 exclusive title, but I doubt there ever was such a request. I think that's a complete misunderstanding of what was the actual case. Wouldn't be the first time...

Nope. PS3 obviously doesn't have any "killer" exclusives except for MGS4. With the 360 they can get Mass Effect, Banjo, Halo 3, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, Tales of Vesperia, Dead Rising, Lost Odyssey, etc. etc.

What a very weak list. You can rent a PS3 and finish all those games in a weekend. The PS2 would've crapped on that weak line up. When Heavenly Sword or Warhawk is considered one of your great games, you know your system is pointless, and I think Sony knows this. I don't think Sony even cares about the PlayStation brand anymore. I expect by the end of 2009 Sony is going to drop support of the PS3 like they did with the PSP.

Seriously though, the "YLOD" is serious damage control. It's a fairly rare error. RRoD is not by comparison, so I wish people would sop tying to directly compare them. There's a good reason why the Xbox 360 is 120 quid (That's UK dosh.), and it is not generosity.
