[QUOTE="Messiahbolical-"][QUOTE="superclocked"]Like I said, I can't vouch for that particular site. But, I've used paypal with a similar site that gave me Windows 7 64 for $35, and I didn't have a single issue. Paypal does have buyer protection afterall. The link for the software was straight to Microsoft.com...jhonMalcovich

Well... can you link me to a known LEGIT website with genuine copies of Windows 7 or 8 for a similar price(preferably 7 because 8 sucks)? I'm actually really considering buying that CPU/mobo combo you linked, but not if I have to spend a ton of money just to re-buy Windows. And tbqh I'd pirate Windows before giving that website you linked my credit card info lol. I don't trust that site at all, so sketch.

You´d better pay a few additional bucks and change that CPU for FX 8350.

That's actually the one I was considering.

Give me a regular keyboard like that any day of the week. I tripped over the wire and broke my regular, cheap keyboard. I would much rather have that regular keyboard back than to be using this big Logitech K350. I despise "ergonomic" keyboards...

Of course but it's still possible to game on PC spending very little money in comparison to consoles and in the long run PC gaming is certainly cheaper.XxR3m1xInHDn3D

In the long run if you plan on being a serious PC gamer you'll still spend more. I've built 3 whole computers this entire generation. Luckily we hit a point with CPU power where the core of my latest machine shouldn't have to be upgraded for many years.

I went from a Core 2 Duo + 8800gts 640mb to an i7 930 + GTX 470 and finally to an i7 3770k + 2x570 GTXs and now im looking at upgrading the 570s because I cannot play a lot of new games on high settings because of a bad RAM bottleneck I have. In the hardware's defense, it was my stupid idea to get a GPU with only 1.2 gbs of video ram.

If you consider how often I use my PC for processing intensive applications (video codex, gaming, multitasking, and all of that jazz), it's actually been a great value despite the high cost. I use a console 1/20th of the time I use a PC.

Oh yeah, of course. Totally agree with you there. I wish more consumers were into this but there's not a driving name brand that people will flock to and spend upwards of $500 here unfortunately.

Yeah, which is a shame considering how much cheaper PC gaming is in the long run. PC games are just so much cheaper. Popular games go on sale for about $5 each during the big sales...

PC parts drop in price incredibly fast. PS3/X360 aren't worth spit in PC terms, yet we're supposed to pay 200 bucks for them. Plus, digital games=insane deals every week.

PC's don't need Bluray. You can download digital copies of PC games for about $5 during sales. And wifi increases latency too much for competitive PC gaming. My ping to game servers is usually 5-30ms using an ethernet cable. Wifi doubles it at the least, and this is not console gaming. Having a low ping is essential.. And I love how you ignore the fact that the GPU is far more powerful than both next gen consoles combined...

Yea, but it doesn't have GTA5, Red Dead Redemption, Forza, DriveClub, Killzone, Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Last of Us, MLB the Show, Maddens, NBA2K, Gears of War, etc... etc...

Did I miss any?

^ This! You can through discounts, specs, and new egg out there until the cows come home.. but if said platform does not have the games someone wants.. THEY DO NOT CARE! I look forward to playing KSSF, Drive club, infamous 3, and the slew of PSN offerings. Yes.. I plan on upgrading and playing PC titles as well.. however I fully understand someone who chooses not to upgrade or buy a new PC.

Yeah, but why not get the best of both worlds? I get the consoles for exclusives, and I use my PC for exclusives, the far superior mulitplats, and multiplayer games. Also, someone would need to spend almost $1500 on consoles to play all of the games that he listed...

$1500... lol and hermits have the nerve to get mad when console gamers say gaming PCs cost $2000.

Friend.. just like you can research and find discounted PC components, console gamers can research and find discounted software.  I've purchased about 12 titles for the 360 over the last 12 months and I've spent all of $150-180.  And that's only because I bought GTAV the day it was released.  No it's not $5 steam titles but it's not $60 titles either.  Besides who has time to play all of those steam games.

Well, $1200 to be more precise :P $500 (XB1) + $400 (PS4) + $300 (WiiU). I'm still waiting for Nintendo to sell a $200 WiiU without the tablet controller gimmick. I would hate to miss out on Zelda WiiU...

They have hardware to compress/decompress the data that they move, compress/decompress textures, perform texture tiling without impacting the GPU (similar to occlusion culling, except with textures), and they help move data around. Plus, there is the 32MB of extra cache. People are going to be majorly disappointed if they actually believe that PS4 games are going to look 50% better than XB1 games...

AAA developer have said 50%. Not one developer have said move engine negate ps4 bandwith advantage, or any xbone modification puts xbone equal to ps4 and it performance modifications. 32MB cache is a bandaid, because outplay by Sony with GDDR5. TLHBO Funny that lemming all of a sudden try to pretend they are hermit after horrible year for xbox brand- last place no game 360, worst console reveal in gaming history with xbone. Now throwing xbone under bus and trying to build pc with low quality component and cutting corner. Invest more in pc than $600, it worth it and will last with quality hardware.

Hermits and their defence; so pathetic. Oh and btw, the Win8 key is a fake site. It regularly changes it domain name and you get an OEM key which is not allowed for consumer to have; only manufacturers use this type of key.

No one cares about what you need; this is a general build for an average consumer. If you can't realize that, I'd hate to see you in the marketing world.

Hermits and their defence; so pathetic. Oh and btw, the Win8 key is a fake site. It regularly changes it domain name and you get an OEM key which is not allowed for consumer to have; only manufacturers use this type of key.razu2444
Uh, newegg and other retailers sell OEM windows to consumers all the time.  But yes, taht site is sketchy as hell

that's like one notch less sketchy

But for anyone who is a student, MS has legitimate deals on windows.  or see if your school has a MSDN partnership

That site is affiliated with google, so I don't foresee anyone having an issue with them. They're listed as a Google store...

Yea, but it doesn't have GTA5, Red Dead Redemption, Forza, DriveClub, Killzone, Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Last of Us, MLB the Show, Maddens, NBA2K, Gears of War, etc... etc...

Did I miss any?

Funny how you list games from 3 different consoles.

In order to play all those games you'd have to throw $1225 just for the consoles, $1335 if you want to play online (lol paying for online).

Edit, oops, forgot to add the 360 and PS3, so it'll be: $1825.

..sorry bud but no matter how you twist it, the PS3 finished dead last. I agree with everything else you said.OhSnapitz
360 is last place, and ps3 widens lead with TLoU, GTA5 superior version bundle, and GT6. Generation will not be over for long time however. Lemming wish to claim generation ends when 360 was still ahead last year, however ps3 pass at beginning of year and generation doesn't end when next gen launches or when lemming want it to end. Please do not cry.

[QUOTE="superclocked"]This is an excellent 8350 combination.. $174.99 after $25 Newegg gift card - AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.2GHz Eight-Core CPU $109.99 - GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P Motherboard $179.99 - PowerColor PCS+ Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card

I don't plan on upgrading the video card quite yet. I just want a new CPU and Motherboard to utilize the new case I just got for the thing: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119257 I threw everything that was in the old piece of crap case into this new one a few days ago because it was running really hot in the old case especially in the middle of the summer where I live(Phoenix AZ) the CPU/GPU fan would come on real loud and I didn't feel comfortable letting it get that hot/loud. The problem is that the motherboard is a little piece of crap micro-ATX and now that I have a bigger case I have more room to fit a bigger motherboard. Having just this micro-atx motherboard in there means the video card fan is right up against the sound card due to the lack of PCI slots, so everything's a lot more cramped together than I want it to be. Also the CPU is simply outdated now by today's standards, I'm pretty sure it's only an older model Phenom II x4 @ 3.2 ghz. And the RAM is 8gb DDR2 @ 1333mhz so nothing special there whatsoever. The video card is a Sapphire Radeon HD 6770 1gb GDDR5. Nothing great, but it will get me by for now especially with the games I play on it. I'm going to wait for a few years until the technology really takes a huge step forward and the prices take a step back before I get a nice new higher end video card. But the CPU/motherboard, though not mandatory, is definitely something that I'm considering upgrading and that FX-8350 chip is really intriguing me.

[QUOTE="Mr-Kutaragi"][QUOTE="superclocked"]They have hardware to compress/decompress data, compress/decompress textures, perform texture tiling without impacting the GPU (similar to occlusion culling, except with textures), and they help move data around. Plus there is the 32MB of extra cache. People are going to be majorly disappointed if they actually believe that PS4 games are going to look 50% better than XB1 games...superclocked

I like how you take exclusives from all the consoles to put against just the PC. Thing is, this includes the 3 free games. Does it burn????

[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"][QUOTE="m3Boarder32"][QUOTE="superclocked"]PC's don't need Bluray.

Ok but I care about all those things, and what matters to me is more important to me than what matters to you. Also I need a controller, I hate KB+Mouse

No one cares about what you need; this is a general build for an average consumer. If you can't realize that, I'd hate to see you in the marketing world.

Fair enough. Personally, I already have a Bluray player, and I only use wifi for my laptop and phone. But, I love my mouse and keyboard. Mouse aiming is so much quicker and more accurate...

I have not told a single lie about the XB1. And you see me defending the XB1 more than the PS4 because NOBODY IS CRITICIZING THE PS4. On the flip side, cows are lying about the XB1 in every single thread. The rest of that doesn't even warrant a response. You're just a troll or Sony employee that tries to spread lies and hate for the XB1. Grow up and get your head out of Sony's ass...

i'm getting ready to build a new pc and would not even think of starting unless i have around $1,200 for the project.

i don't want something on the  level of the new consoles i want something that shows off exactly why you get a nice pc in addition to your new consoles.

that's a shame because they should be building their own.

it is easier to do than building a model kit.

slide some components into some slots, route and connect a few wires together and bam, you're done.

it's more simple than cooking dinner.

also, almost every game supports controllers these days.

it's rare to see one that does not do it anymore.
