[QUOTE="ReturnOfShinobi"][QUOTE="Nagidar"][QUOTE="ReturnOfShinobi"][QUOTE="Nagidar"] No, it can't be "unlocked", you have to tweak the DX9 settings in XP, thats not the same and even than its not really Ultra High, its a tweaked version of DX9 because you're not using DX10 to use it.

Wow you really dont know what youre talking about, because youve just given me more proof for what i said:| Heres what the readme for Ultra saysIncrease the quality of Crysis with this Ultra High Quality Autoexec.
This autoexec includes all the features and graphics improvements available on Very High (Dx10),
and much more.
Tweaked or not, you CAN GET ULTRA SETTINGS ON XP. But what are you trying to prove, i was argueing how they said the game that looked MUCH better back in 06 and early 07 would run on an 7800 GTX, not how you can get Ultra on XP. Seriously, are you so offended that i have something to say against Crysis that you must attack a meaningless point and lose head regarding the larger debate?
Theres more to it, you have to trick the game into thinking DX10 is present, the game needs to load the DX10 engine before you can access the Ultra High menu. I know what I'm talking about, I've done it.
Again, its not really Ultra High, the real Ultra High uses DX10, obviously DX10 is not present in XP.
You want to try again?
The game looks just as good on Ultra High Vista or XP, you miss out a little bit, but it looks largely the same, so again, what you trying to prove, where are you going with this, because right now this is damage control for the game running nicely on a 7800 GTX:| How is it damage control? I've proven BOTH your points wrong.
1. They never said Crysis would run on Ultra High with a 7800GTX, you pulled that out of your ***.
2. Windows XP does not run Ultra High, you have to adjust files in the game folder to access the menu and thats still not really Ultra High since Ultra High is really for DX10 and DX10 is obviously absent from XP.
yeah i dont remember EVER nvidia or Crytek saying a 7800GTX running crysis
and you need vista to run ultra high, you can hack the config? files and set xp to ultra high but ultra high is only on vista out of the box
