both systems will do well enough , i think the ps4 will get a head start due to the economy, $100 in savings is significant and its out a week earlier which will make a difference for the hardcore gamer who doesnt like waiting. i personally plan on getting both, a ps4 right away and the xbone early next year when competition starts heating up. its a good time to be a gamer folks

See i've noticed the difference between amateurs and professionals in any discipline is that the professional has nothing to prove and understands etiquette, as in, there is a time and a place. So, the xbox being discontinue in Japan isn't a fact? The PS2 selling that much in it's final year isn't a fact? The PS3 having all those exclusives the same year the PS4 comes out isn't a fact? Sony having all those 1st party studios isn't a fact? Microsoft doing horribly in the Japanese market isn't a fact? Wii U receiving a 685% bump in sales after it got a Zelda title isn't a fact?

Yes, but this is not the generation AFTER the original Xbox - there were consoles called Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 that came out afterwards. You know, the current generation of consoles?

A lot of those PS3 exclusives came out this year because they were delayed. You can't retro-fit the notion that "Sony is still supporting the PS3 right now" because games that were delayed came out a few months before the next console launched.

Yes, MS did horribly in Japan. So what? Did that effect 3rd party support? Nope. Did it stop MS from going neck-and-neck with the PS3 in sales? Nope. Japan is not the key market it was in 1995.

Yes, Wii U sales spiked. However, that 685% was in the UK, not world wide. World wide sales went up 200%, If you are averaging 50,000 units a month, and in one month sell 100K, that's great. But, when you put into perspective that your rivals are selling 100K+ every month, and in their "heyday" were selling almost 300K a month, it's not so great, is it?

Seriously? That's your damage control for a lot of PS3 games coming out this year? Because they were late? A lot of xbox 360 came out when it first released. Because they were early? Wtf?

And I never said MS performance in Japan affected 3rd party support. Dude, go and read the OP and stop being a fucking dumbass! I actually said quite the opposite of what you're saying. I think the OP specifically said MS is great in North America and also specifically about 3rd party, I clearly even stated that the 360 is fueled and sustained by 3rd party and if it was to lose its 3rd party support, the console would perish instantly because it doesn't have enough quality exclusives to sell the console.
And for the WIiU, I used that example to prove a point and the point is proven. People buy Nintendo consoles to play iconic games like Mario and Zelda and without those games Nintendo wont' sell SHIT! And that was proven by the sales spike. I don't give a shit about how many percent. The point is that it went up. 200% is still pretty solid and proves my point. So, wait, wtf are you going on about?? MS, Nintendo, and Sony all shifted software focus to their new platforms a year ago. The difference between them is that Sony still had exclusives in it's pipeline because they were delayed - not because they wanted to develop new PS3 titles at this stage in the PS3's life. It's not damage control, it's the truth.

You made the conclusion that the Playstation platform was better because even in this late in it's life, it's getting new exclusives. I call you out on that - most of those exclusives were supposed to be released a year ago. You made a false conclusion.

Its not "your" thread. You don't own it. I have a sinking feeling you are like 17-22, and are trying to be some sort of aspiring blogger or game journalist. You have the writing skills - you just lack focused reasoning (i.e. - you are too much of a fanboy). And, you end up sounding like a 'tard when you swear profusely at people - especially when you tell them to "kill themselves".

I stand by my statement. Stop damage controlling. The PS2 had solid games in it's last year and the PS3 did too. I was establishing a pattern and using that pattern to make a prediction. Even if some of those games were supposed to release earlier, PS3 still put out games this close to the end. That's more than you can say for the others.
