80% of the people prefer PS4 over XB1 or Wii U?

During Sony's latest earnings call, CFO Masaru Kato said some polls indicate 80 percent of potential customers prefer the PlayStation 4 over competition like the Xbox One and Wii U.

So is he full of it?  What do you guys think?

Kato did not give any details regarding the specific polls he referenced during the call. A Sony representative could not be reached for comment.

For all we know they just set up a poll on playstation.com or something...or maybe they polled Japanese only customers. Still for the CFO to come out and say some shit like this without providing evidence seems pretty ballsy to me. Hope his arrogance doesn't back fire on him.HadOne2Many

The internet is not the only place Xbox is hated now.

1. Games that will not go to PC with a 99% probability

2. Demons Souls 2 probability

3. Best hardware

4. Best price for next gen system AND best hardware at the same time

5. No standard motion controls, not that i do not believe they can be the future, but after Kinect i think developers will just never use such systems properly

Look, the Xbox One got a LOT of negative press. It was a bad 4 weeks for MS and its new product.

Personally, I think there are a lot of people in the consumer world that are turned off from MS products right now. This isn't how it was in 2005, with MS riding high on XP and its Windows integration for mobile phones like early blackberry. We look at how their recent products have sold (Windows 8, Windows Phone, Surface) and what we see is a string of bad launches and lackluster products.

This is my personal theory - I think there were a lot of people out there who were looking for a good reason to hate an MS product. Honestly, the only people I see (and I speak and hear from a lot of people) that are excited about the Xbox One are pockets of MS fans. Its rather odd.

If you think DS4 is horrible, or indeed any controller this gen is "horrible", you simply do not know what you are talking about.

Glad you agree with me, because his opinion was lamentably bad.

Modern controllers are perfectly evolved and early gaming had a lot of terrible experiments which often rendered games unplayable. Even in modern times they have gone in bad directions, such as the N64 or gamecube pad.

Gamespot one done on May 89% even worst a huge beating the xbox one basically wasn't favor in any country.
