Halo 3 is fun... if you're a kid. I realized that in my fraternity most of the younguns get off to playing Halo 3. I have no idea what it is... but the bright colors, goofy animations, and arcade-like guns attract the younger crowd... which the majority of gamers are. Most of the guys that graduated don't even touch that game... KZ2 is played more by the older guys. I realized that while playing KZ2 with my headset... I get less irritating young brats playing.

If sales means so much to people... and if it keeps the annoying kids from playing better games... than I'm all for it.

Your perspective is anecdotal "evidence" in a frat environment? Cute. I'm over a decade out of college, and here in the real world, Halo 3 gets play from everyone.

Maybe you hear less people in KZ2 because many more peopple there don't have mics. I think that's more the case than your own explanation.

There are simply tons more people playing Halo 3. Law of averages dictates that the increased population will mean there are more kids playing it. I'm sure that's something your well-educated frat hasn't taught you yet.

Since your only stating NA numbers, you fail at being "fair", Killzone has larger audience in europe. "Far, far away" in your OPINION, you fail at being objective.

Killzone 2 only did 323,000 in February, 296,000 in March and 58,000 in April.

So this means that if a game itsnt sold "3 million in its first day" is automatically a inferior game.

Reviews: Halo 3 - 9.5 (GameSpot), 93.37 (GameRankings), 94 (Metacritic). Killzone 2 - 9.0 (GameSpot), 90.33 (GameRankings), 91 (Metacritic). Halo 3 wins, no matter what!

Does 3.04 points (GameRankings) or 3.00 points (Metacritic) difference between h3 and KZ2 makes KZ2 an inferior game?? Not by any means, so your "clean" comparison its starting to stink.

Gamer reception: Halo 3 has 1 million daily players (unique, that is) 2 years after release. Killzone 2? Honestly feels dead months after and will probably be buried when Modern Warfare 2 is released.

Movie failure:A movie failed in sales because of Halo 3.[2],[3],[4],[5],[6],[7],[8],[9],[10],[11]. When was the last time Killzone 2 was so huge that a movie failed because of it?

That Halo 3 didn't have to compete with other FPSs that were actually more advanced in quality (please don't confuse quality for enjoyment) and tech.

If they were released at the same time, there would be far different stats. If we were to hold it up to current standards as designated by the late gen, it would be noted as inferior.

So it's not such a "clean, fair" comparison after all.
