I started around the same time as Whipit. He took his name from the Devo track "Whip It" and apparently Whipitgood would not fit so it was "whipitgoo" hehe. He is probably the most well known of the lemmings, he was a great poster and stood up to many Cows when the XBOX was getting laughed at every day in here. The only other major lemming on this site is JJ (aka Yellow Rose) who has been here longer than just about everyone.

 Obviously you need some help and since I've been around since 2000, here goes:

One of his most famous debates concerned how innovative PS2 was where he made a list. One of the items was Backwards Compatability. After I proved he was wrong because the Atari 7800 was the 1st ever b/c system he more or less acted as if the system never existed. His most dubious argument happened during a heated debate he got in with an American and Australian where he accused Americans of being terrorists and posted graphic pics that contained nudity. Afterwards, the other 2 involved apologized for escallating the argument to that point and Keiichi reacted as if he had done nothing wrong. He disappeared quietly.
2. Origin of the flop - During the GC and Xbox launches, there were notable minority fanboys for eack system that would list a complete title lists and claim that every single game would be great. The flop came about because of this. One of the biggest early flops was Bruce Lee for the Xbox. Another would be Blinx for the Xbox. It seemed to escalate further to where only the Xbox was the system that had flops and the rules have changed more times then I can remember
3. The Super Mario Sunshine/Gamerankings ploy - Prior to the review of the game, sheep had massivly overhyped this game as a surefire GS AAA. After the review, the majority of sheep demanded that afterwards we must use gamerankings to determine if a game is a flop or not. This was the 1st ever mention of gamerankings in this forum.
4. The Cousins - How could you forget the cousins? The 1st family of GS flamebait. There was one for each sytem (including handhelds) they would start a thread bashing a specific fanboy faction and fuel it until it was 250+ responses long. GCousin was the best.

Wonder what the next big System Wars momemt will be... Hopefully something that makes this place, less boring that it is now... At least to Pre/Post E306 levels...

e32006 was the moment of "Riiiiiiiiidge Raaaaaaaaaccer" and "$599 U.S. Dollars" where Sheeps and Lemming were all laughing at Cows and there denial of "Ps3 is worth the money and you gotta work hard for it"

Oh and it was the rise of Wii60 in which it started out the expansions of Manticores

I think you need to add how the term "flop" started and quickly fell from having meaning and standards to what it is now...something every game gets slapped with.  You may also want to mention the attempt at a flop review committee which I vaguely remember forming.ZIMdoom

The whole "FLOP" thing was started by Ramza and Evil Taru, the most famous Cows in this forum from 2002-2004. The whole thing started because Cows used to make fun of XBOX games and their low scores, so then "FLOP!" was used over and over and over for more than just XBOX games as it became a SW "thing", with added pictures of pancakes and some really funny pictures and then the OFJC was formed shortly after. FLOP's started as games that would score under 8, but later the newbies that came in here changed all that to anything hyped under a 9. What made this place so special back in the day were the off topic threads, there were TONS of very hilarious things being posted, the rules weren't as strict either. Many people got banned or left because of the cracking down on SW.

the cousins were the best. XCousinX and his poems were absolutely hilarious, those were great times, you couldn't get away with stuff like that anymore.

I'm at work, so I skimmed a decent amount of this. It was a good read.

I've been here for the long run, but have changed screen-names over the period.

I don't know if it has been mentioned already, but does anyone remember "Fact0r"? He was the first huge fanboy i ever encountered.

I really should move to systemwars.com and sw2.com... this place is a shadow of its former self. :(

But ya, good moments;

- The legendary Spartan446 thread about a completely non-hyped game getting an A score, but claiming ownage on it. Every thread for weeks after had "this thread needs more spartan" in it.

- The "If you don't buy the XBOX, your UNAMERICAN" thread. Fastest 500 post limit thread ever.

 Brute Force was one of them, but I'm sure both Bruce Lee and Blinx released before BF. BF just didn't help much. It got so much out of hand that games that weren't hyped were quantified as flops. Apex was the 1st...

 Some of us can almost collaberate on an unofficial biography of this place.

 Other things:

1. One of my most famous battles - It was between a sheep called IamJesse and me. I once mentioned the 8 bit era and how Nintendo screwed Sega out of it and it started a heated debate between the 2 of us. I just thought it was funny how I provided links of all of the legal trouble Nintendo got into and Jesse would still not admit Nintendo did anything wrong.
2. The fanboy factions - Early on there was the Xbox army, followed by the Nintendo Mafia and then the Xbox Pirates. It turned out to be just groups of fanboys that would flame anyone that disagreed. The Pirates were out of fun to fight the Mafia.

This is a fantastic read and a great synopsis of the system wars lineage.  You have a great memory.

 You have to think the rise of the manticore came about as console prices fell over the course of the gen.  Like now 360 vs. PS3 battles are fierce.  It'll die down as prices fall.

 But great work nonetheless!!!

Nmafia? Now, I remember joining an Nintendo Mafia back at G4TTV (when it was called that) but after a while rules got in the way. I always heard that it moved to the GS forums but I didn't follow. Apperently it died here aswell.t2wave

 They got banned for excessive flaming and threats. I actually gave one of them my home address and told him to come visit me if he wants to settle things like a man. He never showed up...

Feeding off its predessors success. Naturally, who owuld be foolish enough to say otherwise? I'll tell you who, a sole forumite named Jago placed an epic bet with the hermits, that should Doom 3 flop (the barebones definition of a flop at the time is anything below 9, regardless of hype), they would leave SW forever, if it scored over 9, he would leave forever. Many cocky hermits took the bet, thread about Doom 3 went on for hundreds of posts, with jago fighting nearly a one man war. Well, we all know how that turned out. The hermits were severely owned. Some left out of shame i would assume, others had to keep to the bet. Thats why there are hardly any hermits on sw as far as i can tell. Afterward, Jago changed his name to "KingJago" to show his dominance. "

This sounds EXTREMELY similar to my thread with the Zelda TP/GeOW bet. Many sheep hyped it as high as to score a 10 and an easy GOTY. We all know what happened though.

I actually was here for that. It may not look like it from my post count, but I've been here for over 2 years.

I have been here since February of 2006 in the PSP forums but mostly in IGN forums since they used to have a lot info regarding the PSP.Then a guy told me about SW and here I am.

 Of course i rarelly post here,2006 E3 was crazy,pictures about giant enemy crabs everywhere.I also remember Yo_foo,Bullet_math a PSP hater that was owned without mercy and karicha which is here somewhere.
