System Wars was most certainly covered with the blood of posters, good and bad between 2005 and the end of 2006. Killed off by the powers that be. Many of them were the guys that kept the forum light, funny and entertaining. SW became pretty pathetic after that.

Any particularly memorable posters meet their end during that time?

Other than Ladsaber...i don't quite remember anyone else.He was a causality of war.

Ladsaber was a dude that tried to keep the GS PSP forum entertaining.Not someone really memorable but his ban was unnecessary.Also a lot of Nintendo fanboys,some of them annoying.Other than that nop nothing oh yeah a PSP hater that i guess that was banned or got a PSP.

Exactly. That's one thing I always hated about GS. They ban great posters but people like PS3_FTW, Supercharged and others can make topic after topic and not even be moderated or have any penatlies. I'm not saying that PS3_FTW or Supercharged are stupid or are not intelligent but seriously blatent stupidity should be a moderation.

PS3_FTW and Supercharged aren't stupid yet they should be modded for their stupidity? This be an endless circle!

I said I'm not calling them stupid. I'll reserve my thoughts for them and keep them to myself. I'm not about to get another moderation for no good reason.

clearly, that's not the Lemming's fault.  it's SONY'S fault.  the PS3 didn't live up to E3 hype (at least to date it hasn't), and those same Cows that unleashed much heat upon the lemmings post E3 '05 weren't around to take their medicine when the PS3 finally launched with its mediocre library.  And when Resistance flopped hard, the Cows showed their lack of maturity, blaming everyone except Sony and Insomniac for not releasing a better game.  There were porn-suicides, organized protest threads and mass defectors to other sites.  

Lemmings appear strong now because their system actually has a library of good games and few legit holes.  Fewer than most expected.

Motorstorm...That was a big one IMO.Also i got this cool gif.

BTW in terms of SW  Twilight Princess actually flopped but that doesn't mean is a bad game in fact is still Wii killer app,it got above 9.something in Meta-critic.

Sexual Innuendo/The facade is over....

These threads were extremely common in the 2004 (I think, maybe 05 ?) era. Threads such as "My girlfriend says it so big" would pop up, and the contents would just be "ya, that xbox controller is huge". Eventually anyone who posted that would get banned.

There would be a ton of "The facade is over" threads everyday, usually with one liners inside such as "Fable flopped" or something of the like.

I'm not really sure how the facade thing came about. But Riddick comes to mind for some reason. Sony_Casual

Creation of SW2 was because of the banning of Off Topic conversation in System Wars.

It was shortly after my spam thread called "Official Thread" got floated in System Wars and went far into the thousands of posts. Members in the Off-Topic forum then created a thread complaining about there being Off-Topic discussion in System Wars and it pretty much just turned into a flame war.

System Wars then instituted the rules of there only being allowed 3 or so Off-Topic threads on the front page at one time - this broke down after a while and they were banned completely.

Hence the creation of System Wars 2.

This a little after the time that SW had elections for a forum king and so on.

 Yeah, though after a while SW2 sort of became it's own thing.  It started out as System Wars with Off Topic and ended up as Off Topic with System Wars.
