A question to console gamers that can't afford a gaming PC

when you play with a mouse and keyboard on shooters you become a god :cool:

To the console gamers that can't afford a gaming PC, would you start PC gaming if you could afford a gaming PC or would you have also other reasons to not start PC gaming?

Not their fault, it's the analog sticks. If you play BF3 PC for a while and go back to console to play it or see some console footage it's disturbing how inaccurate they are. Some people have mastered it and wipe you out sure but in general people on the PC have a much higher accuracy because of the mouse. I wouldn't say the gamers suck as such just the peripherals they have to use suck

But then again better doesn't necessarily mean good :P I had better team mates in BFBC2 than I do in BF3 which is a shame. I don't know whether it's new players from CoD or something like that but for some reason it has less teamwork than BC2 did. Maybe it's the mechanics or something. But of course playing with friends alleviates that problem

It's not that I can't afford it. I'm just not interested in the games it has to offer.

Mods are nice,but nothing worth the money and I care even less about the better visuals.

Personally there's nothing wrong with the mechanics that's why I'm having trouble pin pointing it

I miss the more cerebral nature of PC games.

How often did you upgrade your PC?

I play a lot of League of Legends but it's like one of the only games I can play on my laptop. I'd love to get myself a gaming PC but I don't have the cash and I'm not going into PC gaming with a $500~ rig. I've got a list that's about $1.1k worth of parts and once I get that I highly doubt I'll go to console games.

I'd also like to add that up until now all my friends where Xbox 360 only gamers, because we where in school and ya know no jobs. But now that everyone I know has a job we all are pretty much just shifting to PC gaming.

I'm guessing you found the $$ part of it an issue, which proves the OPs point.

PC gaming to me is not on the lvl as Consoles

PC gamings claim to fame that i hear most is 3rd party games look pretty ... and ... big deal

the PC exclusives are crap compared to Consoles ... anything worth a damn is going on a Console soon enough

i don't turn my car into a boat cuz it would be cool to float on water and drive ... i would buy a boat

Not very often. My parents probably bought a new PC every 5-6 years. As an adult I've never been able to afford more than a console (I waited till the PS3 dropped to $300), and even after I graduate college late next year I still won't be able to because I have to pay back student loans. Don't get me wrong, my fondest childhood gaming memories are on the PC. Games like Tie Fighter, Master of Orion II, Galactic Civilizations II, Duke Nukem 3D, XCom: Apocalypse, and various dungeon crawlers ruled my world.

Console gaming has always had a stigma attached to it for more shallow games, and it is deservedly so. I've just become so used to consoles that I don't think I can ever go back. I just hope next gen isn't as disappointing as this gen.

I recently ordered a new GPU and I know when it arrives it will take me all of 3 minutes to get the old out and the new in. People over exaggerate everything got to do with PC gaming. Only the first time building something takes longer and even at that it's p!ss easy TBH, when "upgrading" you're right it takes minutes depending on how much stuff you're adding

Yeah, it was always the money issue. I don't think anyone can deny that PC gaming is alot more expensive than console gaming.
