For example i will definatly play Halo 4, Gears Judgment, Fable Journey, Crimson Dragon, Ni no Kuni, Dragons Crown, Last Guardian, FF13vs, Last of Us, Beyond, Bravely Default, Dust, Deadlight, Forza Horizon etc on my PS3,360, soon to buy 3DS

So, what games would one play with such a PC ?

BF3 on ultra, Modded Skyrim, Witcher 1 so I can move on to Witcher 2, Arkham Asylum+city with Physx, a lot of other stuff from my enormous back log--I need to finish some old ones before I start with new games (Diablo III, ME3, Assassins Creed series, Spec Ops, Max Payne Series. etc). But looking forward to Guild Wars 2, Planet Side 2, possibly ARMA III, Far cry 3, Borderlands 2, Dishonored, Watch_Dogs. I upgraded from a 4850, so pretty much everything plays at 60+ FPS at highest settings. To be honest I can't justify a console because with my back log of games I wouldnt have any time to play console exclusives, and with the next consoles on the horizon it doesnt seem like a sound investment in money, time, or space.

I'd like to have a good gaming PC.

I can play Witcher 1 on my 3yo PC fine, i dont need a 670 for that

MOdded Skyrim is the only game there that is somewhat appealing to me TBH and exlusive to PC, but i have so much to play on consoles that i cant really be bothered with a non official modded game

BUt i suppose depends on what each likes the most, for example i value JRPGs a lot, so consoles are very important to me

I noted I have a massive back log, hence the older games. But for example 4850 ran at about 40 FPS on low on BF3, and now it runs 60FPS at ultra and considering I've put close to 200hrs into that game since march, seems like it was a good upgrade. In addition, most of the multiplats will play better on my PC. Further, I dislike FPS games and some TPS games using a controller, I prefer M+KB. Trying to shoot and aim with a controller is frustrating as hell.

Let me just remind you that console games are more expensive than pc games ! I've got a nice rig for work and gaming but i barely use it, the consoles provide more variaty in game genres !

I only said one thing, so I'm not trying to justify anything.

Actually many developers/publishers have implemented ways to combat used games such as online passes, there were even rumors of next gen consoles not allowing used games. So it's not a random theory, it is possible. You can do those things with console games, but in general PC games are cheaper at launch, and then added steam sales make it easier and cheaper for PC gamers to buy games.

It's just a pain in the bottom.

You spend more time tinkering and updating and fixing software and hardware problems and virusesetc.

I won't deny though, the PC has a stellar game library.

You know whats funny about that, the only anti-virus I use is the Windows Security essentials, which is free and I haven't gotten a virus on my PC. When all you do is Play games, visit sites like gamespot, ign, amazon and so forth and use photoshop and 3ds max, your not really going to get a virus from anything. Unless well you are a pron addict, then thats where a majority of the virus's come from, that and filthy pirates.

PC gaming to me is not on the lvl as Consoles

Not that I like to actually agree with him, but Ni No Kuni, FF13vs, Last of Us, Last Guardian and GoW Ascension are definitely on my radar. I'm actually shocked he has a PS3 though.......

But then to answer his question, playing Diablo 3 now and after im done I picked up SWTOR to play (it was on sale and I loved Kotor, so I figured what do i have to loose for 20 bucks and it comes with a month of free game time.) I'm also playing ME 1-3 again as well as having a Witcher 1 itch. My backlog on steam is tremendous as well. Just got the Deus Ex collection on there too.

Mainly for me it's the ability to play games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age at full 1920 x 1080 with Anti Alaising at 60 fps. Smooth like a baby's bottom. But then again, I own almost all platforms (don't own a Vita), so I pretty much just play games. I can appreciate games like Xenoblade too, sure it's not high res and such, but it still has beatiful artwork and is a fun game. But if it also released on the PC then sure I woulda gotten it for that (tried it back when it was european only, and it has severe audio issues, so I'm fine with playing it in SD on my Wii).

Everyone needs to learn that there are reasons for owning consoles and PC's and those who have both are getting the best of both worlds.

You could use a standard gaming rig. to mainly play multiplats trough a console experience. You mearly need a cable to hook it up to your HDTV, and a gamepad to play those multiplats. Check my blog, as a example. Even if you're satisfying with these consoles, no one could possibly have a reason to deny himself better graphics, a fluid framerate, and infinite free content for the those games, if one can afford a gaming rig.

I could do, but I already have a quite capable PC. I don't want to hook up a PC to a TV anyway. As much as the idea of building a new one might be interesting, i'm not sure right now.

Whenever some Hermit joker comes in here and argue with me, "OMG!!!! We the teh PC teh master raze! We teh ownz joo console! We teh graphix teh strong teh powah!!" My answer would be, "fine then, build me a gaming PC that can run the latest, hottest most demanding PC games at the highest setting with all effects turned on very high, at 60 FPS, with at least triple AA if not more and still come at max, $200 with a 21 inch monitor min and everything else!" You know what the answer is? "OMG! You stupid, you teh wrong! We strong, we teh pwoer....!" And that would be all she wrote!

And that's the problem with me. As much as I can spend at least $1000-$2000 on a great PC gaming rig if needed, I JUST DON'T feel the need for it! besides, I'm not a huge fan of RTS either and the only MMORPG I played was FF XI and I had to quit 5 years ago. So yeah, even if you do come up with a rig that can do all of that and cost $200 with everything else, I still would ask you, why do I have to let go of 4 console games that I like for a PC?

I can afford a PC.

I already have a PC, but use it for work and when i game i want to do it in my living room and huge HDTV and sofa and relax

So, i dont game on PC because

1. I dont want a PC in my living room or using a mouse

2. Consoles have all PC games i want (Witcher 2 for example is on 360)

3. Consoles have 10x more games i want, since they have multiple exclusives and JRPGs that PC does not

.

In short, PC has zero exlusives i want, so i dont bother with it

i afforded a gaming pc already, but generally still like playing on consoles for the simplicity and110% couch potato commitment. PC gaming is horse **** when you want to just chill on a couch, M/KB games are uncomfortable.

I think Console Gamers are a bit afraid to touch PC gaming, cause to be honest, it can get a little confusing with the Upgrades, and the installation.

But once you get help with it, Making a Gaming PC seems pretty easy.

I have a capable PC and still prefer my PS3 over PC gaming. I tried, seriously but I'm just more comfortable with consoles rather than PC. Also like 90% of my fav games released (both this gen as in the previous gen) arent available on PC like DMC1, Jak, RDR, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden 1,2, Metal Gear Solid 3,4, GoW1,2,3, Heavenly Sword, inFamous 1,2, Uncharted 1,2,3, Vanquish, FFX, XII etc etc etc

PC is great for FPS and RTS players... since I'm not big of an FPS fan and completely loathe RTS PC gaming is just not for me. I still play some games on it that arent available for PS3 though like The Witcher 1,2, diablo 3, and a couple of good indie games such as machinarium

I think the biggest problem with KB/M is that it is just not comfortable enough for some people.

Controllers, well designed controllers like the X360 or the Wii are extremly comfortable and fit the palm of your hand and you can hold onto them for hours on end and not feel anything. KB/M. The mouse is fine. Especially if you get a comfortable one. It's the KB that is the problem. There is nothing to hold on to. ASDFW control works, but your hand is hanging in thin air and your wrist is usually stright. A keyboard pad can alleviate some of it but still, since there is nothing in your palm, after awhile, your left hand feels llike a milion bucks litterally. It....just doesn't feel natural. Again, maybe it is me. But for comfort, I still go with pads rather than KB/M. Accuracy though, especially shooters, Kb/M wins. Follow a close second with Wii's pointer. Pad just can't keep up with Kb/M in this front.
