If the Xbox One has a number of quality games, it might be good enough for several people. After all, that's why you buy consoles, to play quality games.Vote with your wallet. Do not buy the xbox one and support this crappy DRM plan.Â

I think as big as the franchise is and how it's expanding I think the franchise could definitely see life even if the xbox brand itself is destroyedI think the halo franchise will be fine unless Halo 5 is worse than 4 or MS used games policy and drm destroy the xbox one and the franchise.

Have you played halo 4's campaign?
this. the story to the campaign was the only thing i really liked about halo 4. yeah, they REAAAALLY didn't do the didact or librarian justice since u won't know who the hell they are unless you hunt down terminals, but the game FINALLY showed us MC's personality and humanity. He's always had them in the books, but before Halo 4, he never got to be his own person because Bungie and/or MS wanted him to be closer to a blank slate so we could mentally insert ourselves into his shoes and pretend that we were the chief just because we were controlling his character.[QUOTE="YoshiYogurt"]Lems are ignoring the used games thing completely now it seems. Have fun not being able to let friends try games. Make sure you grab every $60 game before they are out of print. Tough luck for retro gamers years for now.ZevianderBecause you could totally lend you XBLA/PSN/WiiWare games to friends last generation. Well, you could share psn games. I still have shared ones on my ps3 from like 4 years ago. Dunno how it works on other systems though.
[QUOTE="heretrix"][QUOTE="YoshiYogurt"] Have fun not being able to let friends try games. R3FURBISHED
I stopped doing that shit years ago. Ungrateful bastards didn't return shit for months anyway. And in bad condition I might add.
Eh. Too bad for the people that actually still do it though.
Thats fvcking funny - and too true. Lent a friend Assassin's Creed before Thanksgiving 2012, got it back early 2013 This happened to me, too. Although, I am guilty of the same thing--I still have games that my friend lent me; I never see the guy, though! All he does is hang out with his new girlfriend and work, so I can't return them. lolI love sharing things; Like "Hey this is great, you should go buy it." If you can afford the system you should be able to buy the games. Now I don't stand on that principle 100 percent, but I have known my share of people who it's not a good idea to lend stuff to. My previous statement on this was a half joke; fortunately most of my friends who game buy their own stuff. To be honest, I'd rather give someone a game than to lend it. That way I'm not expecting anything back, nor do I have to worry about condition on return.ÂÂ
I guess we are getting to that point as consumers where some of us consider "sharing" not to be a great part of the human experience. A more entitled and selfish generation?Â

I hope the series dies as it was awful back in the era of the Xbox and to this day is still awful and is only seen to some as a great game due to it being exclusive just like the Killzone franchise. Hopefully MS comes back with a fast paced FPS which is more entertaining than that Crud which resembles a 1980's low budget Sci-Fi Movie. dobzilianYou are funny comparing Halo to Killzone, and by the way I believe Halo 1 was on PC, which it seemed to be liked on there as well. I own every single current platform and I surely dont love Halo, because I want it to be good a good exclusive. Halo is that game you want on your platform whether you are in denial or butthurt it is the truth and if not you played it for 5 minutes or multiplayer fps is not your genre.
Makes me happy I never had an interest in Halo.AmazonTreeBoaThe thought of a popular series dying, albeit it's a series that you have no interest in, makes you happy? :?

He was a PS2 fan that converted to the 360 this generationSolidTyIn terms of consoles, yes, I preferred the 360 and Wii to the PS3. But overall, right now? I'm playing 100% of my gaming time on my PC. This new generation, I doubt I'll even touch a XB1 or PS4 until 4-5 years from now. Edit: Also, my point so far in this thread is to not defend Microsoft's policy decisions with the Xbox One, they have been to point out that we have already been accepting of practices similar to those being implemented on the XB1, so we are to blame for them becoming a central aspect to the console experience. It's one of the factors that made me decide to switch over to PC more full-time.
Fairly ironic of the opportunistic sheep to jump on the bandwagon. Now suddenly the Wii U is cool? That's a lucky break. Close call for Nintendo.
Dude, "i" before "e", except after "c". On topic: The first Halo game released on Xbone will probably see the first significant sales surge of that console.(Credit to MisterCommodore on Reddit)
This picture made me realize what's going to happen when all us 360 owners don't upgrade to the draconion 1984-esque Xbox One.
I don't know If I can let one of my favorite game series go. How many of us can give up the Cheif? Give up the great weekend nights with our friends on Halo matchmaking?

I'll get an Xbonk one day for Halo 5 & 6 but I can live without it. Halo 4 disappointed and online multiplayer in general is something I have a lot less interest in compared to the good ol days of Halo 3.

Not really it was pretty different with a open map and you were the small badass odst. It was a great experiment and I applaud bungie. It shows how much potential they have.[QUOTE="redskins26rocs"][QUOTE="Zeviander"] I found ODST to be the most atmospheric and enjoyable campaign of all the Halo's. But then again, I'm weird.RR360DD
Agreed. Open world FPS that oozed atmosphere. And dat soundtrack, probably my favourite game soundtrack ever.
Also I know it officially launched at $60 / £40 but I remember buying it on launch day at £30. Still though, worth every penny considering all the Halo 3 content you got.
I hated everything about it, except FireFight. I felt ripped off.The X1 is getting less and less sinister as facts emerge, contrary to you melodramatic halfwits.Â

I'll be getting one and enjoy Halo very, very much.

Not exactly the same thing now is it?LJS9502_basicIt is and I'm not sure why people are saying otherwise. It is software that is only available digitally and cannot be transferred to another owner. Like I've already said previously in this thread, MS are merely taking what has already been done one step further, and since we were so accepting of it on a smaller scale, we now are stuck with it on a larger scale.
