This picture made me realize what's going to happen when all us 360 owners don't upgrade to the draconion 1984-esque Xbox One.

I don't know If I can let  one of my favorite game series go. How many of us can give up the Cheif? Give up the great weekend nights with our friends on Halo matchmaking?

Really sucks. I wish I could have played Halo on PS3, from what I played on the 360 and PC, it's really fun.

Still, it's not worth getting a console like the Xbox One just for Halo.

Ive become that way about some of the playstation IPs.

Halo 4 was worse than Reach. What made Halo great was bungie and they're multiplatform now so I don't care much.

I can see what you are getting at. We have been in the first steps of 1984 for quite a while now, and we definitely live in a surveillance society, but it's fair to say that Xbox 1 is another step towards the full realization of 1984. It will give our government the ability to spy on us in our homes at a greater capability. Still, if not with Xbox 1, it will happen with the next line of Tv's which will have similar technology to XB1. Still though, not sure what makes you think that he hasn't read it. The xbox 1 is definitely reminiscent to the telescreen's in 1984. 

Still, this whole thing about reaching the world of 1984 is somewhat innacurate in my opinion. When it happens, it will probably be a mix of Brave New World and 1984. Instead of killing us with what we hate, it's more likely they will ruin us with the things we love. For example, instead of concealing the truth, it will be drowned in irrelevancy. 

@ Always_explicit, now tell me, if they wanted to spy on you for questionable purposes, would they tell you ? Wouldn't they want you to believe that's it's for security ? A great man once said, that those who sacrifice freedom for security will have neither. Security is never worth it if it means losing your privacy, or your freedom.

Agreed. Open world FPS that oozed atmosphere. And dat soundtrack, probably my favourite game soundtrack ever.

Also I know it officially launched at $60 / £40 but I remember buying it on launch day at £30. Still though, worth every penny considering all the Halo 3 content you got.

Not a MS fan, but man the trilogy was awesome. Played it so much :O !! Never got the next Halo games tho :/

In no conceivable way is the Xbox One's so-called "features" good for the industry.

When I download a game with no physical copy, I don't expect to be able to loan it out. When I buy a hard copy of a game, I expect to do whatever I desire to it. If I buy a hard copy of a game, what I do to it is my business. Microsoft has no right telling me that I can only loan my disc out ONCE and then never play it once it's loaned out.

Here's a little fact, we're not stuck with this. The PlayStation 4 and Wii U will allow me to use the hardcopies of my games as I have since I started gaming back in the 1980's. In our modern society, money is the only thing that talks especially from a business point of view. Speak with your wallet and Microsoft will have no choice but to listen.

Going to be so easy to give up.  Halo 4 was a gigantic disappointmen so I doubt Halo 5 is going to be any different.

H2 remake...will be bummed out about missing that if it comes out....but $500 for just a remake...lolpass. 

I'll play Reach/H3 on 360 until they die.  CE/H2 on PC.

Good thing Halo 4 and Halo: Reach were the bastard children of CoD. Makes it a lot easier to move on from. Hello, Destiny!

It's for the best. Halo 4 was a step down from the original trilogy anyway (though 343 have fixed a lot of the multiplayer, too bad it's still random). We will have Uncharted 4 with the PS4 :D

I'll miss halo and have bought every single halo at launch and enjoyed them all but after halo reach and halo 4 I have lost all hope for halo anyway. It will be easy to restrain from buying the xbox unless they released an actual halo game and not a wannabe cod

Speak for yourself. I am not stuck with "IT" and I won't be unless they change their policies.

Right now I see a majority of people speaking out and a company who is trying to to do damage control.

People like you make these greedy corporation suits sit in a board room and come up with these asinine profit models. And think its okay.

Like I said I will continue to voice my dislike for this companies policies vocally and with my wallet, just to show them we are not STUCK with anything.

Halo has been made into a dead horse by Microsoft this generation. They released six Halo games on the 360. I'm done with the franchise. I could care less. It's a two horse race now for my money and I'm happier for it.
