Which is next year...
What do they have to prove with X07? Nothing... We already know whats coming out in 2007. We don't need to be shown a million times. They can save their money for better things.
strange, i could of sworn i seen Assasisn Creed showed off at x06 which is a game that comes out in 2007. /shrug[QUOTE="Truth_Hurts_U"][QUOTE="snorlaxmaster"]Wow...that certainly is some news. First Sony wins the E3, then they have their own showing, and next they will be at TGS and hopefully announce even more games. This doesn't look good for the 360, but i dont think it'll fail.Sollet
In your opinion Sony won.
Most people think MS won.
This isn't bad news. This just means we will get all our info from TGS.
Lemming in denial much?
And since when does an online poll reflect the entire gaming community?
WOW, over 70000 people isn't enough for a gaming community

Post of the thread.
Plus, this isn't the first time there's been no X0*. There wasn't one in 04, correct?
there were no games to show that year and they were transitioning from the xbox to the 360. So are we gonna expect a 720 very soon?Good point about the x04 thing. Didn't think about that.
Still, not having a specific Xbox show doesn't mean the death knell for the 360. See spaceworld. And they specifically said that they're going to make up for the lack of X07 somewhere else. 360 fanboys shouldn't be worried too much.
It's not just any poll. It's a GS poll.
In denial much...?
You know SW is just a drop in the bucket. The whole world doesn't revolve around SW.

Its not just System Wars, if you aren't looking at that one analyst or the places dedicated to a particular system Sony won E3 no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Gamespot forums - Sony, IGN forums - Sony, 1up - Sony, NeoGAF - Sony, Kikizo - Sony, vgchartz - Sony (when they weren't bashing Pachter), Anandtech - Sony, Eurogamer - Sony, G4 - Sony, Yahoo Answers - Sony. When its not Sony winning its generally that they all sucked.

I don't care how big of a company you are. When you lose billions year upon year upon year theres going to be consequences for somebody. If I remember correctly Microsoft initially said they were going to be profitable in 2006, as that didn't happen they said 2007...who wants to be they will be claiming profitability in 2008?
With how deep the gaming division is in the hole Microsoft is looking at an entire generation of profitability (which isn't going to happen as they are loss leaders) just to make up for the losses already incurred BEFORE the half-arsed response to the ridiculous design flaws in the 360.
Microsoft's OS marketshare has been declining for a few years now and Vista has proven to be a godsend to their competitors, Microsoft at this rate certainly won't be around forever like most people assume.

Yes a company who netted 5 billion for its first quarter this year and is estimated to net another 4 billion for the last quarter is really in trouble, LOL!!!

You know, IBM wasn't exactly visibly heading to disaster for the first few years either. Microsoft has once again resorting to the same tactics of engaging in fake grass roots tactics, attempting to circumvent (see GPL fiasco) or change (see New York Election Machines) the law to suit their purposes and using the same FUD tactics they did before (also GPL fiasco).
But guess what? Its not working. More companies are moving to OSS, more people are moving to OSS as evidenced by the popularity of Dell's line of Ubuntu products, more Linux activities are making news than ever before and people are increasingly regarding it as a valid alternative to Windows.
So if you look at the greater picture Microsoft is most definitely a company in trouble, nearly everything they've done for the last five years or so has been a defensive measure against their competitors.

Your theory doesn't hold water since MS is once again setting profit records for the company this year, but believe what you like. The funny thing about this, is the last time they set profit records wasduring the XBOX years. I guess they are about tostart doing the same forthe 360 years.

Bottom line counts...looks like they're doing fine..Hows Sony doing? REDMOND, Wash. — Apr. 26, 2007 — Microsoft Corp. today announced revenue of $14.40 billion for the quarter ended March 31, 2007, a 32% increase over the same period of the prior year. This revenue drove record profits with operating income of $6.59 billion and net income of $4.93 billion. Diluted earnings per share for the quarter grew 72% to $0.50, and included $0.02 in tax benefits and $0.01 in legal charges. Sony also suffered its biggest quarterly loss for four years for the period from January to March 2007, with a net loss of JPY 67.6 billion (EUR 413m). Sony's Game division recorded a JPY 232.3 billion (EUR 1.4 bn) loss, primarily due to selling the PS3 lower than the manufacturing price, as well as the associated costs of the worldwide launch. So go ahead and post some more links on how BAD MS is doing. I think shareholders are pleased with a 32% increase.[QUOTE="deadhead127"][QUOTE="D0013ER"][QUOTE="deadhead127"]Wow you have the lamest sig i've ever seen :|. won? oh, sorry, you're saying that because your console sold so well in a one horse race? that's why you'd like to finish the matter right now, before the other 2 horses catch up and let you behind? Ok, so, with your console having 2 years on market, but the competition having less than half that time... let's finish this quickly before they get you!!
But yes... these forums have been lemmings HQ... but mainly while there were no PS3 nor Wii on the market. Since then, lemmings are having a though time, and that only seems to be getting worse and worse. I think MS can't deal with competition at all.
