good question. i have to say yes. nintendo always has a big game in the holidays. it has to be that, or metroid or bayonetta 3. but metroid and bayonetta aren''t really holiday huge titles.

See I am still not convinced that smash bros will arrive until next year, or at the very least Christmas 2018. Mind you I could see a Mario Maker port to cover that 2D mario itch. Remember Wolfenstein 2 is still to come also!

Well tbh would rather they take the time to get the port right with Wolfenstein 2, like they've done with the other 3rd party games. I'm still not sure how they're gonna optimize that one, Doom was very impressive but this seems like a totally different kettle of fish. Fingers crossed it runs well anyway.

This year will be the lowest Xbox One sales to date in US.

Xbox One sold below 1.5 million in December, so below ~ 4.3 million for the full year.

Xbox One previous low was 2014 with ~4.4 million sales.

This is also the first time, Xbox One falling behind X360 in yearly launch aligned sales in US. Worldwide already happened since beginning of 2016. That's good. And this is the first NPD year where Xbone didn't reached No.1 place.

Sony destroyed November and bumped the price up while maintaining a larger profit margin in December. They lost NPD but i'm sure they calculated the loss in units versus the odds to profitability.

Now sale matter, again. For one month only, out of 12.

Yea it's pretty sad lol. It lost every month in NPD for 2017, and is still less than half of what PS4 has sold worldwide.
