Activision: Gamers will 100% go for the cheaper next gen console (PS4VSX1)

Activision getting ready to release the biggest First Person Shooter this year but they did take some time to talk about the two next gen systems.

"If you do a focus group of a gazillion people and you show them two prices for two competitive products, 100 percent always prefer the lower price," says Activision CEO. "

Activision: "Xbox One has to "convince" gamers that it's worth $499,"

"I think from a first impression standpoint the win goes to Sony, at least as it relates to pricing. Microsoft is going to have to win the hearts and minds and convince people that the higher price point is worth it, and that it provides really meaningful capabilities that will be meaningful to consumers. And it's a long game, so I am sure that's what they intend on trying to do."

They said that a lot this year which is odd because you dont want to say that to not get angry fans but hey even EA and Ubisoft i believe said a similar thing eariler before E3 starts which is funny.

Yup cheaper network, with headset, stronger system, cheaper online service, new and better controller, $100 cheaper, etc

lemmings will be in full force for the launch. you never know with fanboys. cows couldn't forgive sony for the launch price and lack of high scoring exclusives, but not that many lemmings is making a big deal on the forums that xb1 is more expensive

It's only really under the idea that both products are equal except for price.

I would happily pay a little more for the product I want over the product I dont.

Its true that those more casual gamers might punch for the lower price console because they see multiplats on both console and cant justify the extra 100 on the Xbox One. Me...Im X1 day 1.

Considering the Wii sales from this gen, that might be true.
