[QUOTE="Ly_the_Fairy"][QUOTE="-RocBoys9489-"]I know some people who are buying the One just because they don't like the dualshock controller and want to play Halo. So I wouldn't be too sure about that, Activision. Oh, and obligatory, CoD LOL. BF4>>>>>>>>>>>>-RocBoys9489-
You've got to read into what they're saying.
If they showed a group of people both consoles, and said "Both will play highly-anticipated games with next-gen visuals, but one is $100 more" then of course everyone would choose the one that's $100 less.
But that's not the real-world scenario, and that's not what Activision is talking about. They're just simply talking about the focus group who really knows nothing about the systems other than that they do "pretty much the same thing" for a different price.
Obviously people will sway one way or another if they know more about the consoles. The Xbox One's library being amazing, and the enhanced feature set, is why the console is staying competitive at the current moment despite mountains of bad press.
They're not hardcore gamers really, they're the Madden, Gears, Halo, CoD, 2k, Fifa crowd and have been on XBL forever. I'm going to predict that the PS4 and One are going to sell damn near the same amount of units for the first two years. Both have their set demographics I think. As it stands with my PC right now, I don't see any incentive to buy these consoles at the prices right now and have to pay for online. Too few exclusives right now also. I'll be playing the big multiplats at still higher settings this fall.Chya, the PC makes the thought of buying a console harder, and harder every dayÂ
With that said, if I had $500 lying around that had absolutely no purpose in life than to buy something ultimately pointless, I'd buy an Xbox One. That way I'm ready for the awesomeness rather than relying on friends for games, like Halo, all last gen.
