I actually liked Spring Mario... I thought Bee Mario and Boo Mario, although fun, were kind of annoying to control.
as weird as this may sound, i actuslly want the wii pretty badly. SMG, MP3, and SSBB are huge draws to me. The problem is, those are literally the only draws, and i wont buy a console to play 3 games. Maybe when the get really cheap in the next year or two. This thread is getting weird

I ahve a similar viewpoint but i'm more interested in the third party stuff that's coming under the radar. Fatal Frame, Major Minor, Fragile and King's Story are far more interesting to me at this point then the usual Nintendo franchises

True, I bought my Wii for MP3/SMG/LOZTP & SSBB , but now things like Fatal Frame 4, Tales of Symphonia 2 , Mario kart ect have me more interested, and maybe no more heroes, I didnt like the look of it but its probably good.
I want more Wii games this year than 360 games lol, then again PC is my multiplat filler, so the 360 only has a few such as Fable 2 ................

Not really. I'm just saying that experiencing Galaxy is experiencing gaming at its finest.
Disagree. I really didn't think SMG was that great, even after beating it and getting a significant amount of stars. Sure there was a good amount of variety, but it wasn't a game that I would readily pay the amount I did for it. I simply have higher expectations from my games.Man. What kind of expectations must you have, to have not enjoyed SMG; one of the best platformers to come along in years, and one which has literally revitalized the long dying genre? That being said I realize its not perfect, but if you can't at least appreciate it for what it does (I hope you do), you might want to find another hobby that doesn't involve being disappointed in 95% of the games available on the market.
Edit; I read one of your responses, and now your point makes more sense. You expect more from presentation than Galaxy provides for you, which is understandable. Make no mistake however, that it still has some of the best gameplay on the market, especially of the platformer variety.

I wonder if JPOPS goes to Pizza Hut, because he just got PIZZONED!
It was a really incredible game. God awful plot aside (and no I won't let it go just because it's Mario) it was a near flawless production...
... but it didn't stick in my mind for very long. It was fun and exciting, but that was it. It didn't feel like a real EXPERIENCE like a Metal Gear Solid title or BioShock. I remember it for being entertaining, nothing more. That to me is a bummer.
I liked the Spring Mario, sure it was difficult to control relative to everything else, but the animation and sheer novelty was hella fun.
I agree that SMG is a game every gamer should play though. If you have a Wii, this is an instant-buy.

 When did Kameo go from one the Worst Rare games ever made to the saviour of videogaming?
Who said it was the worst Rare game?
Kameo's an awesome game.
I completely agree. SMG has been one of the few games I have truly loved and enjoyed in the past...year or so. What, with nothing but Shooters as of late, SMG was like a breath of fresh air in the gaming world.

It did get GOTY.
the bar for 3D gaming as a whole is raised incredibly high with Galaxy.

I'd like a hit of whatever this guy is smoking.
People complaining about the spring suit...you only need it for one level..."Bouncing Down Cake Lane" in Toy Time Galaxy. "Heavy Metal Mecha-Bowser" level in Toy Time can easily be defeated without the spring suit. You can also defeat the boss in "Bouncing Down Cake Lane" without the spring suit.
games like Bioshock that have high production values, great stories, and great VO.[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="sHaDyCuBe321"]And please tell me what games fill your loft expectations then:roll:Willy105

The Spring Suit stopped the game from being perfect. :(
That and Mario's annoying voice.I seriously have to mute the volume when Mario yells out, "SUPER MARIO GALAXYYYYYYYYY!!!" in the beginning. Other than that, I'm good.
You're serious? :|
I thought that was epic. It really got you into the mood.

You need it near the end of Matter Splatter Galaxy.

Oh yeah...I forgot about that.
By far the best game i played last year, and the best game since Twiilight Princess. I really believe it's way beyond games like Bioshock or Call of Duty 4.
There was nothing i didn't like about this game. Every thing, including the spring suit, was brilliant and wonderfully executed. Even the little story book side story was charming and fun.
I've heard some people complain about the camera, but i thought it was one of the better non-fixed cameras in gaming. At some points i would have liked a little more control, but generally the camera positioned itself perfectly.

Kameo was great, but nowhere near the level of excellence of SMG. Also, the controls in Kameo were very awkward with some of the transformation playable characters.

I dont see whats wrong with the spring suite, It was not my favorite of the game but at least it was different. I loved this game but its not my goty, that would be Masseffect
I don't see why people don't like the Spring Suit.
I thought it was awesome.
Agreed, you didnt even have to use it very often.
Why don't you like it?
Because it's hard to control?
Aww, wooo whoooo.
IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT.
That's the challenge!
if you had skill, it would be pretty easy.

Just wondering, why did SMG get GOTY? What made it stand above games like Bioshock, Mass Effect, COD4, etc.?
Nagru
The ones you've named had some pretty significant flaws. Mario Galaxy had flaws, too, but they were very, very minor.
