After watching the Mario Kart 7 review Nintendo needs to..........

Completely drop all of their franchise's or the games do not need to be reviewed anymore.

Mario Kart 7 looks just like the last 5 or 6 and even has the same tracks. The underwater vehicles and Gliders do nothing to change the gameplay. Watching Skyward Sword was like a flashback as well. Aside from the control method it is still the same old Zelda.....but at least they spent more then an hour on the music this time.

Til they make new IP, Voice acting instead of this baby gibberish, real music in their games instead of this proccessed music crap, and get their tech up to speed, Nintendo should get the same treatment from critics and fans that Madden, COD, Guitar Hero, Halo, Tony Hawk, and Sonic gets. But for some reason people give Nintendo a pass everytime.

I also find it sad that the few franchises they haven;t milked they farm out to other devs who completely ruin the series like Starfox. Or nIntendo does not seam to like it....F-Zero GX for example. Nintendo could not come close to making a quality game like F-Zero GX. I thank God everyday Amusement Vision made it.

Here is the list of new IP's over the last 5 years by Nintendo.

Wii Sports

Wii Sports Resort

Wii Music

Wii Play

And they Published crap like Endless Ocean and a few JRPG's that they released in Japan. I do not blame them for not releasing them in the States. They wouldn't sale regardlesss of how hard the fanboys cry.

They are a joke of a company who are no better than Activision these days and they should be treated like such.

TC, You fail on so many levels

1. The underwater and gliding segments, as well as better item balancing, are being praised by dozens of reviewers as great subtle changes.

2. It doesn't have all old tracks. it has 16 new, and 16 remade to suit the new content

3. You're ignoring a huge amount of nintendo IPs let me list them

Disaster Day of Crisis, Xenoblade, Chibi Robo, Custom Robo, all the dozens of different Art S(tyle) games, Dillion's Rolling Western, Pushmo, Battalion Wars, Tact of Magic, and so many more

Also, you can argue Excite Truck/Bots are new IPs since they differ from the older ExciteBike series so much, the same goes for Kid Icarus since it plays so little like old Kid Icarus

Plus, they have so many IPs to revive, like Fire Emblem and Punch Out, Sin & Punishment (which was basically a new IP to everyone outside of Japan)

This doesn't include huge experimental installments in series that make them almost resemble different games like Metroid: Other M, Kirby's Epic Yarn, etc.

Nintendo will continue to release what they want and reviewers will keep reviewing Nintendo's games..

Just because some Nintendo games don't score AAA doesn't mean theres something wrong with Nintendo or reviewers.

"At first, this seems like a shallow gimmick, but after you experiment with what you're capable of once airborne, you realize just how much potential this new ability grants you. In some courses, tricky shortcuts are even available for those who have a daredevil's mentality. But other times, you may want to land as quickly as possible. Maybe there are item boxes below or boost pads, so hanging in the air is ultimately hurting your chance at victory."

So obviously this does change the game up.

What is exactly is "real" music anyway? That sounds like purely your opinion.

Why would the game be called mario kart if it wasn't going to be similar :| what where you expecting ? a New IP with the same name as an existing franchise ? Besides nintendo and Activizion are giving their fans what they want, I wish some of the others learned from that.

Wait are saying Mario Kart 7 doesn't have as much content as Crash Team Racing? I played that game for years and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have nearly as much content, except for having a story mode, as Mario Kart 7. In what area does CTR have more content than this game?

As someone who plays a lot of their games regularly I can tell you they change enough without rebooting things to satisfy me

Stop asking for the games to be less like the things that make them good in their own unique way.

Play all the games, IPs you're talking about, in depth (beat them, and thats like hundreds of games over years) and then, you can tell me I'm doin' it wrong.

I understand its your opinion that at face value, things don't look too different. But if you haven't played them in depth, your opinion has little value. For what it means, mine doesn't mean much more, except I can discuss in great detail why X mario kart differs from Y mario kart.

And lol at Crash being better. Wow. I remember it, I hated it. But once again, guess what? Its my opinion. Nothing more than that. So you're not doing anything wrong per say, I just respect your opinion less beacuse of the indication that you don't have experience with the many many IPs i'm discussing
