I mentioned this before, many of the high level, sensible 360 posters (such as myself) have already acknowledged that it won't be graphics king. There's far more to AW than just the beautiful visuals.

No, you are mistaken. There has been a lot more than two. I do spend more time in SW though, so I'm bound to notice.
Here is a small one, no where near as good as yours, but a 3rd Official AW thread, just so you can see there is more than "This and the other one". There is more than three, but you get the point.

Anyways, I am very much looking forward to actually playing Alan Wake. There has been about 500+ Alan Wake threads over the past month in SW, AAA Hype threads, Graphic King threads, Video Threads, so this will be nice to keep it all wrapped up.

AA. It's heavily story driven and we really know nothing about the story so until more info is released or there are details I don't know about it, I'll still say AA.

Looks like it's an AAA title to me, but the predictability of gamespots makes me think it will score an 8.5

I'm torn between 8.5 and 9.0. After looking at the votes, it seems like the official hype will be AAA anyway, so it doesn't look like it matters which one I go for.

I think I've just had the game spoiled for me by some moron on YouTube, or at least a big part of the story :evil: Obviously I don't know if what they said was true, but I'm not going to be able to get it out of my mind when I play it just incase it does turn out to be true. *Sigh*

The short game thing is just my opinion. But Kevin V. is just a tough reviewer...he doesn't handout 9s that easily. He gave ME2 barely a 9, while it's avg score I think is a 9.5. I think the only game he gave a 9 this year was ME2. He also gives a lot of 3s and 5s...lol.

A consideration: if those who played the game said that they'd have bet that what they saw was 720p of pure joy ( Blimblim from neogaf played the first episode ), what the hell of a technology did Remedy use to fool all these reviewers?

To be honest, I feel as if it's the only game (so far in 2010) that has AAAA potential (even though I felt bayonetta was a AAAA game). Very long development span, interesting concept of light + combat, hopefully a very well written story, crisp looking graphics. At the same time, I think the game could bomb, and could score AAE or lower, but I think it'll be AAAE+
