There is not generational upgrade, that shit died with the Pro and One X. Its a reality a select few of you guys have yet to accept. The PS5 would be less of an upgrade than the PS4 to Pro and One to One X. Don't be made with reality. Embrace it with open arms.

It won't be that weak (for a console). Keep in mind the processor will be mindblowingly better and the GPU will be around a GTX 1080 Ti.

But yeah, a crappy 1TB SSD costs nearly $200 USD by itself right now. A 2TB (2.5") HDD costs $80. I think we both know which is more realistic for Sony to keep costs down if they want to hit that ~$400 mark.

No one came out of E3 saying Gears 5 was some hidden gem of graphical glory...NO ONE! Gears 5 will be lucky to achieve 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn's level of graphical impressiveness, never mind The Last of Us 2.

Actually there were a lot of gameplay analysis that many people were saying was scripted because of how impressive it seemed but was then confirmed to be not.

So again, that is presentation.

In the end, its the still the same dull gameplay that Naughty Dog has been pumping out.

There is a disconnect between presentation and gameplay quite common amongst cows.

She could move like a real woman, if all your doing is fighting small packs of humans/zombies AGAIN for 10 hours in small spaces with very little variety, then I couldn't care for it.

Sorry Lem, what you said is actually one of the biggest things to come out of E3 with the Tomb Raider Devs not believing the gameplay of The Last of Us 2 being real because it looked so good.

It was a huge scandal which The Tomb Raiders Dev made a public apology for.

Damn, I didn't say Gears 5 looks like shit or anything, it just isn't a graphical show piece for a 2019 game and the X isn't going to change that any more than it could for other graphically unimpressive games that were tied to the base xbox one hardware.

It's not the X's fault, just MS's decision to tie all of it's games to base Xone hardware.

That's not only presentation. If those nuances during combat are true then they will affect how the character reacts and the possibilities it has during combat making it more complex. You are trying too hard to downplay a good game which first episode was critically acclaimed by everyone, not just Sony fans. So if you don't like it fine, but at least be honest that this is not only about cows overhyping a game based on presentation.

@pitty8982: Not even remotely close. Consoles are a budget gamer market. If PS4 Pro or Scorpio accounted for a majority of sales, even two months after they launched, we would be having a much different conversation on the matter. That myth is completely busted.

@Pedro: games are made for base PS4 and base X1, then optimized for PS4 pro and x1x. Those consoles were made simply for "4k" early adopters and they're the smallest part of both userbases, there's no exclusive games for PS4 pro or x1x, the ps4 pro and x1x are not sucessors of base ps4 and x1, we're still on the same generation and there are reports of next gen hardware, ps5 and project scarlet.

So, yeah, 7/8 year gap between generations, 7/8 year gap between the hardware for which the games are developed.
