that there is NO DLC on day one. They NEVER said this and this needs to be straightend out. Quit spreading rumors and learn the facts people. I find it quite pathetic when you have to start garbage like that in a weak attempt to keep the uninformed from buying a game you don't like.

No...they said that Infinity Ward and MS would be releasing 2 map packs FIRST on XBL. Not day one. I just double checked this not even 5 minutes ago.

There's tons more to the hate on Activision than that. I can't say I hate MW2, MW was a good game, and if they fixed some of the balancing problems for MW2, it could definately be a superb game. But Activision sucks hard, dude, no questioning that.

That is just a very small arguement, if you look at the grand scope of things, you can see why there is so much disdain for the franchise as of COD 4.

That fine if you just don't like the game, but the way people are spreading this rumor is simply driving me nuts. Find legit reasons not to like something (i'm sure everyone has some about CoD games) but having to create things to hate is simply pathetic.

I have no problem with certain games being "milked" as long as the games are still well above the average for the genre.

I am hating on the fact that the normal version of MW2 on the PC will be $60 (when the normal price of PC games is $50, I am getting the Dragon Age collectors for around $60), and there is no collectors editions coming to the PC.

where'd you hear 4 hour campaign? All those other things you mention are what ALL sequels include so why is MW2 an expansion and not games like Killzone2, HL2 and any other FPS you could even mention that has a sequel?

except COD has been below average starting with 3. 2 was the last good COD. and really it was only good for its time.

4 Hours of awesome sauce no doubt.

however, for the MP side of things, expect more casualized gameplay with the only difference is the inflation of XP pools so the noobs can feel significant when the huge XP numbers start popping up.

its the same length as COD4 ie 5-7 hours. KZ2 and HL2 improved on every aspect of the previous games while adding a new falvour. COD4 has just been the same game different settings. same nonexistant AI, same art assests, same poor graphics, same bad level design, same missions, same everything.

the improvements in every area were so minor that it really isnt worth calling it a sequel

Here's one: Activision trying to raise game prices. Also, day one DLC or not, there is no doubt it will be complete way before MW2 launch, then released a few weeks later.

And usually developers saying longer time that what most people get. I would say 4 -5 hours.

which part? becuause last time i checked the $60 is true, the linear campaign looks to be true, and 4 hours is about right considering they said itll be no longer than COD4 which took me 6 hours the first time and about 4 the second

i know that they are removing respawning enemies, or atleast they said they have. that was the main problem with cod sp, but it still looks to be linear. it doesn't look like too much has improved. cod fans will get what they want, if your not big on cod4 online or the campaigns of cods, then mw2 isnt going to sway anybody. i don't really care, but my brothers a massive fan and is buying it so i will play it, if i'm not playing uncharted 2, odst or any other big games coming out around that time.

Yeah and at that point you can only play a demo! In order to unlock the rest of the game that's already on the disc, you are going to have to pay $60 to buy the unlocking add-on from the PSN Store/XBL Market Place! I'm glad they learned from Capcom! Game of the Year confirmed!

The fact is that they've already planned DLC map packs, so I'm guessing they've taken content out of the disc to sell back to us.

cod hasn't been above average since cod2, cod 4 and its full price expansion are pathetically linear games that are just run and gun, crysis is an above average fps, bioshock was, how is cod 4 even remotely above average

why should we pay for things that are either already on the disk and we are just downloading the activation code or something that they took out so the could sell it as dlc, if i pay full price for a game i expect a full game. when a company announces dlc before the game is released i lose all interest in that game

Isn't it obvious? It's the same thing with Micrsoft. I mean why else do you think people hate Windows? People seriously hate those default wallpapers.

There's a lot more reasons to hate Activision. The fact they are actively trying to destory the industry is only one of them.

There's alot to hate about MW2. One, 6-8 hour long campaign. Two, $60 on PC on retail and download(correct me if I'm wrong) and $80 on consoles. Three, the CEO of Acti thinks he owns the industry(Oh, yeah, biggest entertainment launch ever!!!!). Four, MW2 is more like an expansion, not an entirely new game. Five, Activision in general is a horrible company which deserves to lose billions of dollars.
