Ah I see, cheers for clearing that up!Yeah Project Zero is Fatal Frame, its Project Zero everywhere else in the world but only in America its Fatal Frame. Probably because Project Zero has little do with the contents of the game and it wouldn't catch American interests. Though it makes sense in a subtle way, the Japanese word Rei which is one of the words used for ghost is also used sometimes for zero (although typically Japanese just say zero). Plus the dev team that made the originals was called Project Zero so they named the title after themselves.

So that means it will get around a 1 from everyone else. -Master_St3ve-
IGN US is so far the only one to go past 6.0 i believe. Even the GameSpot review for AitD (6.5) seemed fair and actually addressed the strong and weak points for the game. They pretty much said the best way to describe it as if you can look past the flaws its a fun and unique game that really throws alot of old conventions away and introduces some interesting things. Eden Games had a lot of great ideas and theres potential but it shows though lack the experience to pull it off. This game feels like someone took the blueprint of a AAA or if I could boldy say AAAA game and handed it to the Uwe Boll of develolpers to muck it up.
I saw one combat preview and actually lol'ed out alloud. It looked insanely bad if I remember correctly, some plastic looking thing flailing around like an old 1930s animation.hywel69
Then you have one awful memory. Plastic looking thing flailing around? I am lol'ing at your...erm...assessment. You probably weren't even looking at the right game, cause it's a very fun game (and I can say that, seeing as how I have played it and love it).
IGN US is wrong once again. Just look at the user ratings on IGN (7.1). If that doesn't say how off the loser that reviewed it is, then nothing will.
[QUOTE="Doctor-Salvador"][QUOTE="Koalakommander"]I totally called this one. I own.
Called it when they showed the first demonstration that blew everyone away.
It just looked bad to begin with to me.

Well, I'm glad you can brag about a company's misfortune. I'm sure all of the people that will lose money from this are real happy for you.
I'm bragging about my ability to spot terrible games.
How is this "misfortune" in any way? They had complete control over how their game was made. They are just bad at what they do.
Sadly, this game will still sell 300,000+ copies easily because it has guns in it, so it won't be a complete loss.
Well, then you should really stop bragging. It's not a terrible game, the IGN US review is WRONG. Way wrong. Alone in the Dark requires a brain and patience and sadly this generation doesn't have either. Just look at the user reviews, 7.1 compared to 3.5. Tells you right there how wrong the review is.
Wow. That is harsh.
Just goes to show all, ytou really don't know until the game is released. Really. You can look at 100's of screenshots and videos and still have no clue how it really is.
Here endeth the lesson........

Don't trust the IGN US review. The IGN UK review gave it either a 7 or 7.5, can't remember. Other sites have given it a 7. Something was just up the a$$ of the IGN US reviewer.
I'm glad I didn't trust the ONE IGN US review and looked at other reviews as well, cause I would've missed out on a good (at times great) game. Sadly, too many people nowadays have no idea how to think for themself and will just go along with that one review.
and lems rubbed this game in cows face cos it got delayed :lol:Miss_Wacy
We'll have to wait longer for this masterpiece
GS review it. Not that bad.

Yeah they actually praised the game for what it did right, if you compare the IGN US review to every other review they hate on everything every other reviewer praised (inventory, item combining, epic environments, etc). They just straight up hate during that review.
whoa, im blown away.
the only saving grace this game has is that the 360 sales will dwarf the ps3 version sales cause the PS3 version comes out this fall, when nobody would want to play it anymore.
-GhostMLD-
Actually, this gives the devs a unique opportunity to work on a lot of their mistakes.

Like Oblivion and Fatal Inertia!
Reviews are becoming more and more unrealiable. 3.5? Come on, the game looks to have so much potential, does things differently and just looks satisfying, from the gameplay vids.
the graphics look very nice, IMO..too.
if Haze could score more higher, how did this game score so low?
3.5 should be rarely used unless its a very VERY POOR game. i haven't played it, but it honestly can't be that bad.
