Yes you are ....

So much money for 1/2 games ? Naaahhh .... What you can do

1) Lend an X1 with Halo 5 from a friend for 2 days or something and burn ( i do this sometimes )

2) Have a meeting with a friend being X1 owner and will buy Halo 5 so you finish the game together and have the whole experience ( I do this every now and then )

3) RENT an X1 with the game of your choice for few days or a week and burn ( thats what im doing most of the time for console i dont own and for games i MUST play at all costs )

4) Wait first for the reviews and check if the game is a multiplayer success so you justify the pricey purchase. If games multiplayer isnt something youll end up playing for more than few weeks ... Do something of the above.

5) Pretend there isnt a HALO 5 in the market and save money , time and ... your sanity !

If you got the money why not buy stuff you enjoy?

Because its waste of money AND space for 2 games to spend more than 500$. If you are that rich that you see 500$ like is nothing , well buy it ! Here where i live 500$ is the 5/6 of basic monthly wage let alone with those 500$ you can spend them on games for the system you like best and not for hardware that will collect dust .

Not if you really like halo

That does seem to be the main draw for getting an X1

Nope, some of the people I play MCC with they got an XOne just for that, the collection has ridiculous content and replay value, if you enjoy the core Halo gameplay that is.

As for Halo 5, it's made by the same dev as Halo 4 so you may want to be cautious about that......for me I loved Halo 4 so it makes no difference....they are trying to please the community but it must be hard pleasing everyone. For instance your shield will not charge while sprinting in H5, a compromise for people who didn't like H4 sprinting. I suspect we will see a lot of community driven changes in H5 compared to H4. Should be well balanced overall imo

MCC was why I got it, and I don't regret my purchase one bit. It's the definitive Halo experience, no doubt about it! Now add Reach damnit and it'll be perfect.

I am sure you will find more than 2 xbox exclusives during this whole gen you may want to play. Money is meant to be used, not collecting dust. 500$ is not that much for a whole generation

If you're going to play for hundreds of hours you should get it.

My Xbone collects dust and I don't care about Halo anymore.

The guy says he wants the system ONLY for 2 games so i answered based on his statement. Everything else is irrelevant. 500$ is too much considering 500$ = almost 10 games for the system you really like , a high end GPU for you PC , a whole decent PC equal or better to a PS4 , lets not say how many games someone can buy on steam sale because we gonna cry out loud and so on ....

Anyways to the point ... no , for 2 games it doesnt worth it. Thats my opinion. And the options im giving are far better and convinient to spend 500$ ++

Nah. I want to play Halo 5 as well, but I'm not getting the console for it. Got the money to blow? Go for it. It's not like a PC version is coming.

If you like Halo that much go for it..... Although I will say after just beating Halo:CE on the MC collection it didn't hold up well. That level design was fucking atrocious.
