The problem is no one knows what may happen to the other next gen consoles/handhelds either. A recurring theme for all the current next gen consoles/handhelds that have released is that they seemed to all struggle in terms of market penetration when they released.The same may happen ot the other two next gen consoles. Also only one of the next gen handhelds has recovered.

That was a mistake yes but I doubt a better name or marketing would have made much difference with the current price and game selection.

People are giving the Wii U alot of stick. But Nintendo know what they're doing, and it looks like their main competitor is going to be the Xbox mini, which has AO and a subscripton requirement.

I honestly think that post E3 with Smash Bro's, a brand new Wind Waker and Mario title, Nintendo will pull this round once again and get the Wii U up to Wii sales of epic.

Ignore all the doomsayers, what do you guys think?

(I haven't included a "No" option in the poll as this is discussing a hypothetical situation where anything can happen, so it doesn't make any sense to thnk that they don't have a chance)

Sales are an objective measurement. I think subjectively Nintendo hardware is crap while others love it.

I don't think they'll win, but I don't think they'll sell so shitty that they rage quit consoles like some people on here suggest. 

I like Nintendo as a low cost option that offers great first party titles. I'll probably pick one up in a year or two.

I don't think so really. So far only the die hards have bought it, the casuals aren't interested and everyone else is waiting for the nextbox and PS4. Sales will pick up when the games come but I only see it doing Gamecube numbers, maybe more if they can drastically reduce the price.
