Wow now I know why those who were behind closed doors who seen heavy rain were wowed by this title. Simply amazing.
Edit: Sorry that was a link to just one screen, fixed the link to the other screens. :)

Oh god, I can't wait for this game. I just hope the ending is more satisfying than in Indigo Prophecy.
Wow, that's amazing.
I actually thought the water on her face was some kind of juice.... I should stop watching 3D pr0n.
The facial detail is the best I have seen in console gaming this gen. I am really interested in this game, lets hope a trailer is shown at Liepzeg this month.

Im not sure what genre but I heard alot of good things from those who were behind doors at e3 to see this game in motion and what they said was Heavy Rain blew them away with the amazing graphics.
I hope it is, thats my favorite genre. I'm hoping it's open world too.
I need some gameplay footage before I say yea or nay.heretrix
I'm with you. If the gameplay graphics match the picture, I think Heavy Rain might have the best character models on consoles.
Am i the only one who thought it looked garbage (graphically?)
Well close ups of that lady's eye look good, but from a distance it looks very average.
Isn't this better than Crysis?

It might have better character models, but thats where the bulk of the PS3 horsepower is going to go. Meanwhile, Crysis looks that great in pretty much all aspects of its engine.

Well we haven't seen anything else of the game yet, right?

i personally don't find it better than crysis, the characters mouth seems awkward, besides pictures don't represent the final product( in consoles game pictures seem to have 4 to 16xAA while the game itself doesn't have it (naruto ultimate ninja, pgr, cod,...). I'm no saying the game looks bad because it doesn't and they still have a lot of time to improve it, i just don't want to expect crysis graphics in consoles when it shouldn't be technically possible.

Definitely. indigo Prophecy completely crapped out on the ending. So much wasted potential. :(
Yeah, the game went bat-**** crazy around the two thirds point. Lucas turned into Neo and there was flying and running up walls and some other such nonsense. Also, the stealth parts were horrible. Just...horrible. But hey, there were 3 sex scenes. :P[QUOTE="stepat201"][QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"]Oh god, I can't wait for this game. I just hope the ending is more satisfying than in Indigo Prophecy.

Except Lucas and the police offer in bed in the subway station but I don't remember them showing anything. :p

I have the European version so maybe that's the difference. Lucas and his ex get it on if Lucas rocks out on the guitar (or something like that) and the black cop gets it on with his girlfriend at some random point. Lucas and Carla in the subway came out of nowhere; they had barely met. Although that could have been a "Hey, we're about to die, why not?" moment...even though getting naked is a bit silly considering the blizzard that was hitting New York at the time. :lol:I'm hoping that Heavy Rain takes after the first act of Indigo Prophecy. If uncanny valley lady in those screenshots turns into Trinity in act 3, there'll be hell to pay. :P No crazy plot, no stealth sections and no simon says gameplay and I'll be happy.

Um who are you again?
He's a Gamespot poster just like you and me. Calm yourself. Anyways, that game looks mighty fine
This screenshot looks mind blowing, look at the draw distance with the sunset and all
And this is some info on the game and what it is going to be like.
On Locations:
"I don't want to do a big free-roaming city like GTA, because the flow of the story will then be hard to control. Nevertheless, I do want to incorporate big sets, with a crowd, heavy populated areas like a mall and a subway are going to be in there. Of course, the gameplay has got to make use of that aspect too."
On Graphics:
"People will be surprised. Internal (Sony's) feedback on graphics has been great. This is going to be a truly next-gen game. But still, we want to do something unique with the graphics, going beyond just making the most photorealistic world we can."
On Gameplay:
"With the release of Fahrenheit, we gave the adventure genre a new grammar. We brought new ways into the genre, new words if you want to see it like that, a new vocabulaire. With Heavy Rain, where going to expand on that same grammar."
On Story:
"Heavy Rain is about normal people that have landed in extraordinary situations. I wanted a much more personal story. The first thing that came to my mind, as a father of two little boys, was that the main theme should simply be a father's love for his son. This is not a game about saving the princess or the world. Its purely about a father's love."
"The main story will revolve around 4 different characters, and we're putting the spotlight on their perceptions. The question 'what is good and what is evil' is the key here, that will be just a matter of viewpoint...I believe heavily in moral choices, I'm going to use them A LOT. They're not about being good or bad, but about finding the right balance."
