it's not that nintendo's forgotten the hardcore gamers this season.. just maybe hardcore gamers haven't been given much attention. SMG, zelda, metroid, smash bros...those are great..but they won't keep the wii alive for too long if they're released in 2 yrs. wii needs more big hit series and that's a fact :)

Its also a crap cuz most of its games are just minigames with a crappy storyline or even without storyline. I mean thats wii is good for casual players but it actually hasnt got almost any games for hardcore gamers and that sucks, there are still many hardcore players around. I would say to you, wait until developers start putting out their best efforts before you buy the launch "slop" that 3rd parties sent with the Wii. Call of Duty on the Wii is a terrible effort from the developers, and is not nearly indicitive of what the Wii is capable of, nor its potential.
