Any other console in history as bad as ps3?

Do any of you remember waiting 8 months for a game to come out on your super nintendo? Or your sega genesis?

did dreamcast make you wait more than half a year before releasing a good game?

did ps1 or ps2 ever do that?

ps3 is the first console, in the history of consoles where after you buy it, and even after waiting over 250 days, there is STILL no rock solid game that is not some port from another system that in this case will remain naimless.

the playstation 3 is in insult, a punch in the face, and a stab in the back to every true man or woman who calls themself a gamer.

buying a playstation 3 is just like buying some stupid item from a tv paid commercial with high hopes, and taking it home,and realizing that none of your expectations have been satisfied

mabye it will be worth getting someday but guess what? that day is not today.... and tomorrow does not look to hot either.

i was not talking about like...3d0...or jaguar or any crap like that i was talking about the major systems ....i mean cmon we all know that the 3d0 failed before it even came out

i completely disagree with any comments saying that sega's system is worse than the ps3. I have owned all the systems that sega has made and on DAY ONE, and throughout the first couple of months of its release i was playing fun awesome games.. which is what i do with a system...i play games on it... i dont buy a system so i can wait a year for it to blossom, thats just mental. 600$ saved for 1 year at 5% intrest----> then go buy the system when its worth getting.

I remember saving up money forever to get my Nintendo 64 and the two games that were available at launch. Those two games were all that was out for quite a while. I never cried about it though.

Seeing as how the PS2 was Japan only for the first 6 months. The PS3 is doing terrible.

I personally think resistance is a great game, along with motorstorm. Oh and the PS2 didn't really have any good games for about 8 months too, and we all know how that turned outB1ACK_MAGE

I think the hype of the system and the DVD playback is what saved the system in the beginning. The DC was a better choice for gamers at the time. After the system had a huge fan base, the games came and came and came and it turned into a must have system for gamers and casuals. Will the same thing happen with the PS3? Only time will tell!

Remind me again what great game came out for the ps2 before GTA3. As far as I remember it wasn't until it came out that people really started buying ps2's and it came out almost a year later. I'm serious about this question as my memory for that period is rusty and I didn't buy a ps2 until the next spring.

Oh, and by the way TC. you may say the ps3 is a joke, but it's selling better than both the ps1 and ps2 did in the first 7 months, so it has at least lived up to past standards of sales, even if the games are lacking.

....so many fanboys nowadays. back when ps2 was launched it had a slower start than the ps3 and all the dreamcast fans were like PS2 IS GONNA FAIL. We'll wait and see. i see 360 failing (technically and generally) more than the ps3.
