I don't hate motion controls. I just lol at fanboys who can't conceive of normal gamers trying out motion controls, and finding them to be sh!t. If an innovation improves gaming, it will stick. If it's a crappy gimmick, it'll be mocked/ignored until it dies off. Notice how even Nintendo have backed away from motions and gone for a tablet with... DUAL ANALOGUE :shock:

I'm hoping it's fantastic. I haven't enjoyed a Nintendo console since the SNES but I'm hoping the trend discontinues next generation.

Loved nintendo when i was a kid. super nintendo, N64, gameboy. Until i discovered the PS2. Then nintendo, gamecube looked like childs play for me. Imo nintendo is whats making gaming worse. gimicks, stupid motion control ****. I think its time nintendo goes down and take the causual market with them.

look i know theres people like you that feel stupid standing up and making motions to play a game...your embarrassed of how you look i get it... or maybe you are a lazy guy when it comes to gamming and you just want to sit down and barely move when you play. thats fine too.

but motion controls are not a gimmick... they revolutionized FPS games for me...and they make some games more enjoyable than normal controls...accept that. 99% of motion games are not trash...:roll::lol:

and yes the wiiu does have DA :xbut thats because all the MS/sony/PC fanboys were begging for it...oh well...hopefully nintendo use it creatively. time to copy sony like sony/MS copied nintendo. so many times.

I frown at anybody who hopes something will fail.

I really don't care either way. I think Nintendo needs to be humbled a bit but I am not wishing for anything bad to happen to them. I think The Wii Blood Diamond will fail because of franchise fatigue and the fact Nintendo over charges for craap out of date hardware.

But Nintendo does not effect my console of choice or PC so I really don't even think about Nintendo anymore. To me it is just a waste of talent that refuses to be used.

well, i say underwhelming games because its what i see so far IMO and saying that it can get better games in the future is speculation, maybe if the Wii U doesnt sell well at launch they are going to realize that we really need more than a lazy 2d mario or stuff like nintendoland and (just SOME )3rd party 360 ports, i mean with the Wii i was sick of hearing that "X" game was comming to 360 and PS3 only, i was sick of that, i dont want that to happen again

and i didnt meant that is good they FAIL like the virtual boy or something, just not being in first place is enough to give them a lesson

Back in the day, you still needed a Sega Genesis to fully enjoy the classics of the 16-bit era. Lots of awesome games on Sega's platform that weren't on the SNES.

Although, the SNES was still a cool system in its own right:cool:

I think its time nintendo goes down and take the causual market with them.

No I personally would like any console that just uses a mainstream controller to fail. I think that mainstreaming holds back gaming. Personally I am glad to see sony doing so poorly after using the same controller for so long and making no changes. HarlockJC

Before i say this i want to put it out that i dont want anyone to lose their jobs, but the Wii U brings nothing to the table, if Nintendo would stop making consoles we could play Nintendo games on a superior system and wouldnt have to spend hundreds of dollars on another system just for a handful of games. Thats my thoughts on it.

Well i don't know if i hope they fail but, i know that alot of 3rd party dev's forewarned Nintendo, that if they want such big franchises like Call of Duty and Madden on the wii-U, that they would have to make a standard controller like 360 and PS3's. Hence that Nintendo pro controller to be released same time as the Wii-U, guess dev's got tired of having to experiment with new kinds of controls and they just want to keep what works.Slimmin360

Nintendo's platforms have always had Madden and Call of Duty. Modern Warfare 2 was the only COD game that missed the Wii, and Madden has been released yearly on Nintendo's consoles since the Gamecube. Madden has already been confirmed for the Wii U, and while Activision is being quiet, Black Ops 2 has all but been officially confirmed for the Wii U.

I agree about the need to improve third-party on Nintendo's home consoles. But Madden and Call of Duty have always been on Nintendo's platforms. And from the looks of it, they don't seem to be going anywhere.

They will still be inferior downports, most likely with weaker online communities and devs will only port a couple of big names, far from every multiplat.

For me it's all about PC/Nintendo, this way I get all games except Sony and MS 1st party. I couldn't care less about Forza or Halo, but I will definitely miss out on a few great Sony titles.
