Yes. I think that GTA4 has it tho no contest. MGS4 looks great and I love the series but it has never been the GOTY type.Antikyth3ra

yea, mgs4 has never been the goty type, but MGS2 was only GOTY 2001 only second to GTA3, and lemms dont realise this but, it also outsold their ultimate "god-game", their beloved HALO:CE in this year. and ended up being the 5th most sold game on the ps2

MGS4 games have always been "good", but they have never been GOTY type games.

there might be a surprise line up for the holidays .. we've yet to see games like Banjo 3 yet

They just seem like the two best upcoming contenders to me. Alot of you may think Brawl and Gears 2 will be the top contenders but Brawl released quite early and had flaws in its online play

The fact that people are dismissing Brawl when it is the only game that has been proven through reviews is absurd. When all those games mentioned get a 9.5 or above, THEN and ONLY THEN will Smash not be the top contender for GOTY

It\s going to goto either Spore or Little Big Planet. Spore is something completely different, and LBP is not completely different - but still fresh. GTA and MGS...well, same old thing, with some additions. Spore and LBP are built from the ground up. darkslider99

I suppose. I do look forward to buying LBP myself.

Spore is going to be absolutely mind-blowing, I cannot wait for it.

Also, I expect it to be the underdog, not the big hitter like Halo 3 or Mass Effect. Spore will come out of no where and blow people's minds away.
