I love the artstyle, and the new Dante seems to be a cocky douche -- is that not what hte original was known and loved for?

Dialogue wasnt exactly something out of Uncharted but it wasnt "atrocious".
Game looks decent.

I dunno. I think I've played enough off-the-wall Japanese games by now to be able to look past the corny dialogue and characters. I'd even go so far as to say I'm starting to like the new Dante a little.

Don't think I'm playing Devil May Cry for the dialogue me thinks.

From what I saw it looked awesome. Lovin what I've seen so far. Dante is a cocky douche. What else is new.

I dunno. I think I've played enough off-the-wall Japanese games by now to be able to look past the corny dialogue and characters. I'd even go so far as to say I'm starting to like the new Dante a little.

Yeah, but they sure know how to lay on the Japanese cheese factor anyway. DMC seems to mix that cheese in with some good old American angst. Not the most appealing combo but they might be able to pull it off.

Oh god that was awful. His voice sucks, makes DMC2 Dante's voice sound better. And Dante was never a cocky douche, yeah he was cocky AT TIMES, like at the beginning of DMC3 but once he meets virgil he gets serious. He was never a douche, okay maybe in 4 he was annoying.

And cut out the V for Vendetta crap.

This Dante takes itself seriously, the old Dante was just plain anime cheese and fun.

looks better than before, just hope it actually comes out and at least tops dmc2.

Just watched it. It's not the dialogue that's atrocious. It's Dante's voice actor that can't get the lines right. F*cking hell does his voice actor suck.FrozenLiquid

You must have not played DMC1,DMC2,DMC3 and DMC4. Also coming from a guy with a DNF sig and avatar (still), I wouldn't be complaining about any crappy dialogue.

but it fitted his character unlike this guy that looks like it was taken straight from a Twilight movie or "The scene", he is like a scene kid but that it is a hipster at the same time and likes goth stuff too.

No matter how you want to see it the differences between the games are like night and day. I don't even know why this game is called DMC to begin with because everything's so different.

hopeully in the next game they will get the difference between a cool guy and random douchebag with cocky one liners. its too late for this game

Cant speak for him but I really enjoy the DMC games. If it werent for the freak of nature that is NGB I would say the DMC games are my favorite h/s games.

But I still say Dante is a mega douche. Hes supposed to be that way so I dont know why you're being defensive.

Yeah, it was cool. I'm surprised i didn't see anything to complain about, apart from the voice acting which was bad, but VA in the DMC series has always ben bad, in a funny way. That little snippet of combat seemed fast and satisfying..

Ofcourse, i am a little pissed off that they ruined the little character Dante had. Cheesy, over the top, fun character in previous entries, and i loved that. In this reboot he seems to be a cliche teen douche.

Game is going to be awesome.

I think the game is going to be good but I am gonna have a hard time liking this main character,. He looks and sounds just like the kind of guy I'd rather use the real Dante to slap. Someone said that Dante was a douche and that is why we liked him and yes, he's a cool douche but this new guy, is the unlikable kind of douche.
