Anyone who switched from 360 to a PS3 regret it?

Sometimes i feel like switching from a console to a console is like having a gender changing surgery, of course only in SW.

microsoft is maybe losing grounds for now, but have you seen sony during the first few years

of its launch? it was ridiculous! i think it only had one game worth buying and the multiplats were utterly

unplayable due to bad port. xbox 360 and ps3 compliments each other. there's no way i can only choose one.

I would recommend saving up for a PS3. Trading in systems isn't really a good idea unless you absolutely hate your current console.

However, what's more criminal of you is skipping the PS2. Son, I am disappoint.

I like first perosn shooters, 3rd person shooters, racing, stealth adventure, and would love a good scroller. In taking a breif look at the PS3 libarary, resistinace games look good, killzone, and of course I'd like to try out GOW games. I do enjoy multiplayer, and really loved the halo series for that, but have since gotten hooked on the COD series for that. I wasn't to crazy about Reach MP. After playing a lot of COD, Reach just seems kind of slow to me. I think the Ratchet and Clank games look pretty good for a platform type of game. I figure I can pick a lot of titles up on the cheap since they are older, if I do decide on a PS3. One thing that I was kind of wondering though, is there still people who play games like resistance and killzone online?

I don't have a PS3, but I know I would regret it if I switched from my 360 to the PS3, since there is very little on the PS3 that interests me.

I would just save up so that you can have both. The only advatage that the PS3 has is a free online service. They both have good exclusives.

But have you played all you want from your current 360 library - since you would no longer be able to?

It's arguably always better to get an additional console rather than replace one. You'll need to purchase a new library of games for a PS3 should you get it.

The lag on PSN is hardly noticeable if the game has dedicated servers, but with games like Modern Warfare 2, the lag on PSN is indeed worse. As for the exclusive games you've named, it seems you prefer First Person Shooters to which it would probably be better to stay with your 360.

But have you played all you want from your current 360 library - since you would no longer be able to?

It's not worse but rather you lag more frequently.

Would you care to elaborate because there is nothing that I have seen on the 360 that I haven't seen on the PS3.

Then I have a whole library to look forward to, with a lot of the games at a discount due to them being older. And I can also throw the $50 that I would be paying for live toward the PS3.

I would refer to the SW spreadsheet to see what games you may have missed out on that are only on the PS3.

All of which have had a tendancy of going multiplat to the PC, and 2 of which they wont see another game till late next year

I tried to switch back in 2007 and went right back to the 360.

However, I just purchased the Slim and PS3 will be my console of choice once GT5 is released and KIllzone 3.

Currently playing Halo:Reach and will start playing Uncharted 2 next week until GT5 is out.

You will not regret purchasing a PS3 but try to keep both because the Xbox 360 and PS3 are great consoles.

Didn't switch but I've had a PS3 for a while and the library is pretty lackluster of quality. Games are so short and online sucks. themyth01

*PSN does suck though, the speeds of downloads and damn installs. PSN store is good though.
