Sometimes i feel like switching from a console to a console is like having a gender changing surgery, of course only in SW.

just save up and get ps3 when you can.
selling consoles for another is the worst decision any gamer can make.
microsoft is maybe losing grounds for now, but have you seen sony during the first few years
of its launch? it was ridiculous! i think it only had one game worth buying and the multiplats were utterly
unplayable due to bad port. xbox 360 and ps3 compliments each other. there's no way i can only choose one.
[QUOTE="RapidTurtle"]
I can do without Halo and Gears. I bought Reach, and the campaign is good, but the Multi Player sux in my opinion. I guess I got hooked on the COD series. I hate the whole voting system in reach, and the maps arent' very good in my opinion. Gears I can do without. I don't like the Multiplayer on that, and I thought the campaign in Gears was better than Gears 2.
Some pretty good answers though, thanx for the info, and keep it coming.

Help us out what kind of games are you interested in or into?
Fighting (pretty much the same on both tho)
Action Adventure?
3rd person shooter?
JrPG, WrPG, SRPGs?
FPS's?
Scrollers?
Creatoin type?
Fantasy?
Racing?
Hack n Slash?
Psycological thriller?
Stealth adventure?
Real time strategy?
Do you like games with good stories? Do you mostly like multiplay and don't care for stroy? Do you care about quality of graphics in the games you play?
I like first perosn shooters, 3rd person shooters, racing, stealth adventure, and would love a good scroller. In taking a breif look at the PS3 libarary, resistinace games look good, killzone, and of course I'd like to try out GOW games. I do enjoy multiplayer, and really loved the halo series for that, but have since gotten hooked on the COD series for that. I wasn't to crazy about Reach MP. After playing a lot of COD, Reach just seems kind of slow to me. I think the Ratchet and Clank games look pretty good for a platform type of game. I figure I can pick a lot of titles up on the cheap since they are older, if I do decide on a PS3. One thing that I was kind of wondering though, is there still people who play games like resistance and killzone online?
I would just save up so that you can have both. The only advatage that the PS3 has is a free online service. They both have good exclusives.

FPS: Resistance and Killzone TPS: Warhawk (is a very cool game but it is only online) Racing: The upcomming GT5 and the best arcade racer from this gen IMO: Wipeout HD/Fury Stealth: MGS4 is a must Side Scroller: Little Big Planet, Crash Commando, Final Fight Double Impact, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Trine and several PS1 classics on PSNI would just save up so that you can have both. I really don't have time for both. I wouldn't pay a fee for live if I could game online on the PS3 for free, so it wouldn't make sense for me to own both.

This probably isn't the best place to get objective buying advice anyway...But have you played all you want from your current 360 library - since you would no longer be able to?
It's arguably always better to get an additional console rather than replace one. You'll need to purchase a new library of games for a PS3 should you get it.
The lag on PSN is hardly noticeable if the game has dedicated servers, but with games like Modern Warfare 2, the lag on PSN is indeed worse. As for the exclusive games you've named, it seems you prefer First Person Shooters to which it would probably be better to stay with your 360.

I've pretty much played everything on 360 that I want to, and am not looking forward to anything in the future. I figure I can sell it, and the games, and get enought for a new PS3. Then I have a whole library to look forward to, with a lot of the games at a discount due to them being older. And I can also throw the $50 that I would be paying for live toward the PS3.
I'm really getting tired of the MS bull. I have been through two RROD's, and a bad disc drive. My console now makes entirely to much noise now. With their $10 increase for live, I really don't feel like supporting them anymore. I've had live since it began, and that means that I have paid almost $400 for it. Thats a lot of extra games and such.
[QUOTE="georgia_bulll"]and only play killzone 2 and uncharted 2. cause thats all you really get.depends on how much you like Halo and Gears.
if you say meh to those2 franchises, then set forth to the sunset with PS3 and never look back lol.

The lag is worse on PSN in Modern warfare 2? That could sway my decision, as I am looking forward to Black Ops.

It's not worse but rather you lag more frequently.

Everyone says that, but all the 360 has over the PS3 is Halo, and Gears. Isn't Killzone and Resistiance comparable? And what about Mag? Is that any good? Isn't a game called Socom coming out? That is supposed to be a pretty good series, isn't it?

Would you care to elaborate because there is nothing that I have seen on the 360 that I haven't seen on the PS3.
Well, you sound like your mind is mostly made up. The only thing I would suggest is that you wait until there are 160GB SKUs wherever you may be - as you'll either get more storage for the $300 MSRP or alternatively be able to find the 120GB SKU for a clearance price.I've pretty much played everything on 360 that I want to, and am not looking forward to anything in the future. I would refer to the SW spreadsheet to see what games you may have missed out on that are only on the PS3.
And this is a thread I made on upcoming line-ups for each system, it's just been updated too. :)

I agree, but the only 3 games that the 360 has that the Ps3 doesn't is Fable, Gears, and Halo.
All of which have had a tendancy of going multiplat to the PC, and 2 of which they wont see another game till late next year
And who knows about halo, worth 400$ to play??
I tried to switch back in 2007 and went right back to the 360.
However, I just purchased the Slim and PS3 will be my console of choice once GT5 is released and KIllzone 3.
Currently playing Halo:Reach and will start playing Uncharted 2 next week until GT5 is out.
You will not regret purchasing a PS3 but try to keep both because the Xbox 360 and PS3 are great consoles.

if I wanna play HALO REACH I gotta have a 360 though, until PS3 gets that game instead of some wannabe ones then I dunno how I could ditch my 360, plus some games dont even upscale to 1080p which is lame.
