[QUOTE="MSXBOX4EVER"][QUOTE="UNcartMe"]wow, you are wrong in so many ways. although single player may call for more complex processes, multiplayer requires a data connection and complex graphics simulations all at once. in other words, multiplayer is harder on a machine. that's why multiplayer always looks worse than single player...UNcartMe
it's ok stinger we all know you are right. quake 1 multiplayer you could do it on a 56k modem. how much more data are they putting through now for multiplayer? lol it wouldn't even be 10x that.
how much more powerful have graphics cards and stuff got in that time? way more powerful.
plus it all depends on what the goal is. if the goal is 30fps single player, 60fps multiplayer, then they simply work backwards from that. you dont need to see the wrinkles on marcus' forehead in multiplayer now, do you?
why are you attacking me?I don't. You started your tirade with "wow, you are wrong in so many ways" against my #1 man with a plan - Stinger78. You were the one initially condescending.
I don't attack you, I discuss the evidence regarding previous bandwidth limitations to network play, modern limitations to network play, the increase in power through GPU developments, and graphical goals/necessities when comparing and single player modes.
I welcome any criticism you have against my rationale.
