Apple Might Have a Pleasant Surprise at E3 (Game Console) Link

Apple has patented a game controller design that eerily resembles a PS3 controller, and in one of the schematics it shows it connecting to a " Game Console ".

Yes....I am keeping my fingers crossed on this one....I've wanted Apple to enter the console market for years.....With any luck they'll make a surprise appearance at E3 this year and announce a console in the making.

Apple doesn't do anything unless it's likely to change everything. They won't make a move unless they've got something significant up their sleeve. This is pretty safe (in other words -- not worth their time).musicalmac

I'd love to see Apple take the place of the consistently third place MS in consoles.  Good competition is healthy.  Sony and Nintendo need a competitor that isn't a complete joke.

They wouldn't buy them because Sony doesn't make enough money to be worth Apple's enormous liquid assets.

People should think about the fact that both Nintendo AND Sony are trying to entice those little mobile developers into making games for their respective platforms, as well. I think that's the most delicious news all week.musicalmac
