Are the XBOX 360 problems fixed now? Thinking of getting an Elite ....

I REALLY want one but it makes me nervous. I dont know why there are so many fanboys. Why cant we just like ALL the consoles and the good games they have? All systems offer different games so why bash the others? JDW_games

Good question. Because people are childish I think. Anyway I have an elite and I'm pretty happy with it. It's the new falcon model so it should give less problems. RROD still happens sometimes, but if you keep the console well ventilated and dusted all should be fine

Yes they still get RRoD and yes there is a 3 year warrenty but I think the fact is he doesn't want to be concerned about the entire brake down stuff even if it is covered.

TC yes it is an issue as a previous owner of a 360 I wouldn't get another one until they failure rate is 4% and under personally.

If you have to ask then its not fixed. Trust me, when MS finally fixes the issue they will throw a big party and let all major news outlets know.

I just want microsoft to sort the problem sooner rather than later. I agree that if the console was more reliable, it would sell more. I'm after a 360 too, but i'm also worried about rrod.

It's not fixed anyone saying otherwise is lying. Ask them to provide a single link to any reputable website saying fixed. There is no statement from MS either. Check any user review site X360 is still having issues. Check amazon.com for yourself plenty of people with the new chipset still getting the RROD.

The same ones saying fixed now are the same ones who said it was fixed with Elite, said it was fixed with the HDMI port, who said it was fixed with Halo and the same ones who said it was fixed with Falcon. There is no fix.

Really?! The Elite is said to mess up just as much as the others. Just ask my brother in law who's gone through 2. The failure rate of the PS3 is under .5%

Really?! The Elite is said to mess up just as much as the others. Just ask my brother in law who's gone through 2. The failure rate of the PS3 is under .5%

yea im thinking about getting one too. i was gonna get both the same day when mgs4 comes out, but i think i might wait until like Q4 08 when they put the new jasper motherboard in it

lol, i'm a cheapskate. Even if there is a chance of failure, 150 pounds (about 300 dollars) is alot better than 280 pounds (around 560 dollars) for the ps3. I checked on amazon.co.uk for pc's, and a half decent one would be about 340 pounds (around 680 dollars). The pc i already have isn't good enough to run any new games.

So thats why i need the 360. (i'm not after the wii by the way, just no to that :P)

yes get elite, rrod chances are very low now, new elites have better cpu, bigger and more ventilation holes....and also rrod warranty has been extended so u will be safe for next 3 years IF ur 360 rrodsmingo123

Yes... Gears and Halo are only worth the purchase if you pay for online as well and if you are online you will want the harddrive as well. Infact some games require it. honestly, no one knows whether it is fixed or not. i can tell you this the amount of threads saying "my xbox rrod again" are scarce. if you want one get it. they have a warranty that will cover it if you dont mind being out for a few weeks.Lo_Rising

Lol, i dont plan on using xbox live either. I just want to play the games either single player, or with a few friends on multi player split screen. The arcade sounds perfect for my needs.

Xbox 360 is a worry free console at this point.

1 yr warranty for everything and a 3 yr warranty for the "designer" error message.

My Xbox 360 pro was made in Oct 07 and my other Xbox 360 with HDMI was bought in Dec 07 , neither one has a had problem.
