You've apparently got faulty hardware.......personally I've never had a Computer break on within 3 years. All the hardware I get has withstood fairly well. bblundellI sure do. Narrowed it down to the CPU, PSU, and MOBO. Not sure how to check those without extra parts I can swap in. I guess I'll make a thread on it.
The RAM's fine. The PSU is 750W w/ 80 Plus. Most likely you went cheap on the PSU. Or got a faulty memory module, that can happen.
nunovlopes
If you got faulty hardware, you would know it. If its not faulty an died 3 months after you built it. You did soemthing wrong.
Thing with PC's pre built or self built, its 90% of the time end users fault they're not working. Consoles its 90% manufactures fault its wrong, IE built in defects like RROD, Disc read errors, or over heating.
With consoles' increasing focus on casuals and growing mobile, I think PC is quickly becoming the last safe heaven for hardcore :)

The fact is, most people can't build or repair a computer even if they're given a visual guide.
No, why would they? They do not negate the existence of typical hardcore titles afterall.Facebook gamers ruin that ideal do they not, seeing how there is more of them then any of the 3 big consoles.

Well, people who think it's too much hassle aren't really hardcore gamers, aren't they? :)I guess not, but the whole point of consoles is to target this demographic. They're too hardcore for browser games but unable to build/buy a gaming PC. This even includes tech savvy people.I would say that browser games as a whole are more hardcore than motion-controls casual console games though :)I guess not, but the whole point of consoles is to target this demographic. Why would u think they won't sell them at a $100 dollar loss for the first 6 months or so? Within 9 months they'd be breaking even on a console with a 6-9 year life span that's making billions per year from Xbox Live aloneCan a $400, even $500 console compete with PC hardware at launch? Maybe? But I don't see MS or Sony wanting to take losses, so $500 will be $500 in value, not $700.
If consoles are not up to par with PC next gen then I am just going to wait about 2 years and upgrade my rig, have that as my main platform, Halo is not enough, Sony has nothing for me.

They can if they got off their lazy assess!>.>That being said, I've never met an adult PC gamer who wasn't dysfunctional, didn't live with their parents, getting food stamps, or had major responsibilities like kids, a mortgage, a wife, and a career. I'm sure they exist, but I've never seen them.
By contrast I've met MANY adult console gamers who do their workouts on WiiFit or Kinect, play a little CoD, watch a Netflix movie and go to sleep, to juggle challenging careers and family life.

You can't use the same example as a pro and a con in the same argument, no matter how differently you word it. That isn't a SW rule, it's aimple fact.
Other than that I'm not sure what adults are left who don't game on the PC. You've got the mad, the sad, the unemployed, the parent, the home owner, the married and the people with jobs? I guess that leaves the lonely, the criminals and the homeless to play on consoles!
Have I got that right?

Well, console gamers do pop up an awful lot in those news articles about people killing each other over vidoe games...

I was playing Starhawk this morning and owning a high-leveled player pretty badly, so he sent me all kinds of hate-mail calling me almost every curseword under the sun. When you let video games control your life like that and take them that seriously it's sheer stupidity.[QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]

You don't have to build a PC, if the work intimidates you. And repairing a PC is within the scope of a lot more people than repairing a console, so how does that matter?[QUOTE="ActionRemix"]PC gaming is way too much hassle for the typical console gamer. See: SolidREV.[QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]

P.S. there is a reason PC brands such as AlienWare, CyberPower PC, Digital Storm, iBuypower, Origin and etc exist

This thread seems like something an insecure Hermit would make because they regret spending all that money and time on upgrading their PC, only to realise that they arn't happy with it, but instead of admitting it they are trying to justify it.
Just another case of buyers remorse, but hey that's what SW is all about....

Do you even know Saltymeatballs? Refute the points instead of claiming "buyer's remorse" every time. At the end of the day, he may be off the mark with a few things, but he's correct with regards to them competing with PC's on a hardware basis. The evolution moves too fast for the PC.

Agreed, I'm a consolite, and PC will always look better. It can always be upgraded. That being said, I think hermits that call consoles garbage are a little out of line.[QUOTE="lundy86_4"][QUOTE="ShadowMoses900"]

I play all my systems and enjoy them all. The consoles have a natural step down in graphics, but I think that's more than acceptable in order to play their unique games. Heck, many even look damn good.
I'm just gonna guess it's gonna be the same as since the PC changed to the current format. Maybey changing a little bit and give consoles more breathing space than previous gens because of the apparent direction software is taking. PC can't overwhelm hardware wise without the proper software.
